Borderlands 3

Starting off strong for Borderlands fans… if they don’t have it already — Borderlands 3. Launched in 2019, BL3 was Gearbox Software’s latest mainline game that, of course, hit a lot of acclaim for just about everything that made the franchise the franchise.

NHL 24

EA Sports NHL 24, frankly, we’re gonna keep this short, it’s a hockey game built on the Exhaust Engine tossing in new game mode features and upgraded game modes, all tied together cross-play. Kinda neat, eh?

PS Plus Essential Game Value Has Been Calculated

PlayStation Plus

The total value of the PlayStation Plus Essential free games has been calculated based on the base prices and minimum prices. This month’s lineup held the least value across the board.

Redditor Big-Teddy shared an infographic that calculated the prices of the games alongside sale prices. In contrast, October held the most value for the service this year, with its games racking up $159.97 based on standard prices and $84.47 based on sale prices.

We aren’t totally sure what December will bring, but we do know that Teardown will be among the games given out.

October 2023’s PlayStation Plus Essential Games Have Leaked

PlayStation Plus

It would appear that some of October 2023’s PlayStation Plus Essential games have leaked – thanks expectedly to Twitter and Dealabs magazine contributor, billbil-kun. The dataminer has been accurate almost every month since September 2021, and now claims that two of next month’s Essential titles will be The Callisto Protocol and Farming Simulator 2022, available to download from October 3 until November 7.

Similar to September’s Saints Row, The Callisto Protocol reportedly didn’t live up to expectations. Only last week, Glen Schofield, the CEO of developer Striking Distance, left the studio. However, the studio claims it not to be related.

Each month, PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers can claim a few “free” games each month, with September 2023’s collection being Saints Row (PS5, PS4), Black Desert: Traveler Edition (PS4), and Generation Zero (PS4). If you want to claim any of these titles, ensure to do so before October’s games are released!

Are you happy with these potential titles? Have you enjoyed September 2023’s Essential titles? Let us know below!

PlayStation Plus Essential Free Games Revealed For June 2023

Trek of Yomi, PlayStation Plus Essential

As we enter the next month, PlayStation has revealed what games are going to be free for PlayStation Plus Essential members.

NBA 2K23

Basketball fans rejoice, NBA 2K23 is first in line. Released in 2022, Visual Concepts and 2K Sports’ basketball sim lets players go on their own journey with a custom character. If that’s not your style, you can instead play games as an up-to-date roster of both NBA and WNBA teams or even take it to the next level and become a GM.

Jurassic World Evolution 2

If you’re more up for a management sim and enjoy the good ‘ol Jurassic Park franchise, then maybe Jurassic World Evolution 2 is for you, and luckily, it’s second up. Released in 2021, Frontiers Developments’ management sim continues its precursor’s management system while adding new features, game modes, and more dinosaurs.

Trek To Yomi

Finally, we have the side-scrolling action-adventure Trek to Yomi as the final game set to be part of this month’s PlayStation Plus Essential roster. Released last year, Flying Wild Hog’s action-adventure takes us on a stylized revenge story of Hiroki, who seeks to enact revenge on those who burned his home village down, which inevitably leads him to the underworld.

The coming days are your last days to pick up last month’s free games, which were GRID Legends, Chivalry 2, and Descenders. You can add the new set of free games to your library on June 6.

These 11 Games Will Be Leaving PlayStation Plus Extra, Premium On February 21

PlayStation Plus

When Sony revealed their plans to expand their PlayStation Plus subscription service, one major change was implemented going forward.

PlayStation Plus, which has now become the Essential tier, gives you a handful of games each month to download and add to your gaming library. You will continue to have access to all of those games as long as you’re subbed.

The Extra and Premium tiers are a different story. While the games can be downloaded (or streamed) to your console, once these games leave PS Plus, you will no longer have access to them, which means you have a finite amount of time to complete these titles.

We reported which games left this month, now we’re giving you a heads-up of which titles leave on February 21.

  • Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – The Definitive Edition
  • Agatha Christie – The ABC Murders
  • Pure Farming 2018
  • Rad Rodgers
  • Sine Mora EX
  • SkyDrift Infinity
  • Sparkle Unleashed
  • The Book of Unwritten Tales 2
  • The Turing Test
  • Metro Exodus
  • Saints Row The Third Remastered

If you’re currently playing any of these games and still have work to do, this is your warning. While we wait for Dealabs to leak the PS Plus lineup, which games do you hope join Sony’s subscription service in February?

PlayStation Plus Essential January 2023 Games Leak

PlayStation Plus Essential

It’s looking like PlayStation Plus Essential has quite the slate for the turn of the year. That’s right, the next turn of the year line of free games have leaked.

Dealabs user billbil-kun has accurately leaked the free monthly games almost every month since September 2021, so we can expect this is probably no different.

The turn of the year will see PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers able to swipe up the side-scrolling Metroidvania, Axiom Verge 2, for PS5 and PS4, the much-maligned multiplayer adventure, Fallout 76, which hasn’t found a native PS5 version yet, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order for PS5 and PS4.

You’ll be able to claim the new batch of free games from January 3 to February 7.

We’re coming up on the tail end of this line of games, so you might want to get on adding them to your library. This month the games are Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, Biomutant, and Devine Knockout.
