Keighley Teases “Huge Top Secret Game Reveal” For E3

This guy needs to stop teasing on Twitter.

Geoff Keighley has issued a new Tweet that has unsurprisingly sent the Internet into a tizzy…and that's because everyone loves a good guessing game, of course.

Evidently, there's at least one giant unexpected title slated to blow everyone away at E3 this year, and Keighley knows all about it.

"Today we filmed a huge top secret game reveal for our E3 coverage. Can't wait to share it with you – no one will see this one coming."

Okay, so if we won't see it coming, does that imply a brand new IP? Quantic Dream's new project, perhaps? Or are we talking about a franchise that we haven't seen in a long time? The resurrection of a classic, recognizable series name? Couldn't be Beyond Good & Evil 2 , could it? That seems too far off… Then again, maybe Keighley is just goading us and although it might be huge, it's not surprising; i.e., GTAV or something like that.

So, any thoughts?

Eurogamer Teases Secret Game, Says We’ll “Go Bananas”

Yeah, we remember knowing about a secret game we weren't supposed to talk about for any reason. It's tough. But you can always tease!

Eurogamer's Johnny Minkley apparently got a look at a "top secret" title and now he's all sorts of excited. So excited, in fact, that he couldn't help but tease it at his Twitter page . He wouldn't give any details (definitely a smart move) but he assures everyone that it'll hit pretty hard. After saying he spent time with both Journey and the PlayStation Vita, he decided to talk about this mystery title:

"Amazing gaming week with Journey & Vita. But the top, top secret thing I saw t’other day… The internet will go bananas when it’s shown."

He added that it was an "annoying tweet" and he understand that, but he's just too excited to keep quiet. Now, this could be just about anything; it could be a title we believe is coming but hasn't been officially announced ( God of War IV , for example), or it could be something nobody expects. Personally, I kinda hope it's the latter.

But at least Minkley won't have to keep a lid on it for a full year and a half, as we did with Twisted Metal . Evidently, we should know all "soon." Any guesses? By the way, I'll be checking out Journey this weekend; stay tuned for more…can't wait.

GI Mystery Game: Old-School Gamers Will Love It

Remember when Game Informer Editor-in-Chief Andy McNamara teased an upcoming announcement by saying the developer of said title will surprise a lot of people ?

He also said that "not many will see this one coming," which immediately generated plenty of buzzing in communities and forums around the web. Now, to add more fuel to the fire, Game Informer editor Andrew Reiner posted the following hint on his Twitter page :

"Our next cover is another ‘what the?’ type of reveal. I suspect old school gamers will freak out over this one."

Some rumors say the secret game is Star Wars: Battlefront III , but that's only one of multiple suggestions you can find from interested gamers. We'd love to know what it is; obviously, it's a big project from a well-known developer, and we have to assume the title will hit store shelves some time this year. The good news is we won't have long to wait: the next cover of GI will be revealed on January 5, so just be patient for a few days.

In the meantime, what are your ideas? What do you think it could be? We've seen quite a few old-school franchises draw fresh breath this generation; what series haven't we seen in a while?

GI: Developer Of Big New Game Will Surprise Many

Some will say the game itself is a much bigger deal than the developer. Well, remember when we found out The Last Of Us was being created by Naughty Dog…?

See, the studio really can have a significant impact. Game Informer is teasing everyone again with another big announcement; previously, they teased the new "South Park" RPG and now, Editor-in-Chief Andy McNamara is hinting at something very surprising on his Twitter page .

He was asked if gamers could guess the title in question and McNamara replied that we probably could, but it was doubtful that we'd "get the real nuts, which is the developer." The one sentence that's getting everyone all riled up is- "I can pretty much promise not many will see this one coming." Essentially, we're looking at a game most expected to be announced, but a developer that nobody thought would be making it, right?

Okay, so what'll it be? We already heard about Kojima's open-ended game , so that's not a secret any longer. Maybe Guerrilla is making God of War IV , or something silly like that. Any ideas?
