Eurogamer's Johnny Minkley apparently got a look at a "top secret" title and now he's all sorts of excited. So excited, in fact, that he couldn't help but tease it at his Twitter page . He wouldn't give any details (definitely a smart move) but he assures everyone that it'll hit pretty hard. After saying he spent time with both Journey and the PlayStation Vita, he decided to talk about this mystery title:
"Amazing gaming week with Journey & Vita. But the top, top secret thing I saw t’other day… The internet will go bananas when it’s shown."
He added that it was an "annoying tweet" and he understand that, but he's just too excited to keep quiet. Now, this could be just about anything; it could be a title we believe is coming but hasn't been officially announced ( God of War IV , for example), or it could be something nobody expects. Personally, I kinda hope it's the latter.
But at least Minkley won't have to keep a lid on it for a full year and a half, as we did with Twisted Metal . Evidently, we should know all "soon." Any guesses? By the way, I'll be checking out Journey this weekend; stay tuned for more…can't wait.
Most likely a new entry in a beloved series, but it could also be a new IP from a well-known developer. I agree, I hope it's something that will completely catch us off guard.

Could be a game from a Euro studio… it's logical. Maybe it is Syphon Filter 4. Then again, apparently there are links between thatgamecompany and Sony Santa Monica, so it could be theirs. Or it could always be someone else entirely. I'll wait. I know how soon "soon" is for some people.

Half life 3. It probably be game informer's next cover issue since they just made a half life 3 wish list. Need to finish lost coast and episode 1 and 2.

But I love that excited feeling and seeing people's responses over what the tease could be. As a developer, it would really help give me an idea of what the hardcore gamer wants most.
You'd think Square Enix would've got the FF VII remake hint by now. How about handing the remake project over to Mistwalker? The REAL FF talent!!
thats exactly the problem though its never anywhere near as good as what people hope it will be, thus always ending up as a disappointment.
for example if i had to guess id say a new ape escape game, and a proper one not that recent move crap!
but then it will be announced, and probably be a game i could not care less about.
or if there really wanting me to sh*t bricks, then hurry up and confirm syphon filter 4 already!!!!!!!

What would make *me* go bananas is a new sci-fi themed western RPG, a real hardcore one that would make you take notes while playing just to be able to grasp it all. Some heavy sh*t I can totally get lost in just exploring strange new worlds. Yeah, a "Star Trek simulator" is essensially what I am waiting for.
However, what would make the rest of the internet go bananas is clearly not something that's entirely new but the return of something old. Probably a shooter.

So many possibilities!!! I love these teases, gets me all excited until the big unveil which ends up in disappointment. (Except Zelda Twilight Princess unveil and Twisted Metal unveil, those were pretty awesome teases)

I'm still waiting for Sony to say one way or another whether they intend to finish The Getaway. I would be stoked if this turned out to be that game but I'm not holding my breath!
