Gabriel Stanford-ReisingerRare’s swashbuckling multiplayer adventure, Sea of Thieves, is going to be playable on the PlayStation Portal, Unfortunately, the dev also struck down the idea of a PSVR 2 version, while also kind of just letting the idea float around, stating it has “no plans.”
On the official FAQ page, Microsoft revealed that the team over at Rare tested the game on PlayStation’s remote play peripheral to great success, stating that it “will be playable via the PlayStation Portal.” We’re not fully convinced it will be a great experience, but that’s neither here nor there. The convenience of it still exists and that’s really all that matters.
Sea of Thieves is among the four games that Microsoft has greenlit to arrive on other platforms as part of its new model, with the game arriving later this month.
