Rockstar Announces GTA+ Subscription Service For PS5

GTA+

Grand Theft Auto developer, Rockstar, has gone on record to announce its subscription service for Grand Theft Auto Online players. Aptly named GTA+, the subscription service offers rolling GTA$ for subscribers and exclusive perks like different properties, vehicles, cash/RP bonuses, and more.

The service is open to those who have a current-gen copy of the game — be it on PS5 or Xbox Series X|S — leaving past-gens out of the picture. The subscription price is at least a manageable $5.99 a month, but we’ll see how long that lasts. Here’s the list for this month’s GTA+ perks.

  • GTA$500,000 delivered automatically to your Maze Bank Account.
  • The Principe Deveste Eight — along with a complimentary Hao’s Special Works upgrade for it before it is made available to purchase by the general public — plus the HSW Orange Trip and HSW CMYK Glitch Liveries.
  • The Auto Shop located in La Mesa, introduces an assortment of gameplay updates from Los Santos Tuners. Current Auto Shop owners can relocate to La Mesa at no additional cost.
  • Waived LS Car Meet Membership fees. Current LS Car Meet members with GTA+ will be reimbursed GTA$50,000 during this event period.
  • Yacht owners can upgrade to the Aquarius Super Yacht at no additional cost.
  • The Gussét Frog Tee and Broker Prolaps Basketball Top and Shorts automatically added to your wardrobe.
  • The Conveyor Livery for the Mammoth Avenger, HVY APC, and TM-02 Khanjali.
  • A selection of free paints and emblems for the Auto Shop.
  • 3X GTA$ and RP on Hao’s Special Works Race Series.
  • 2X Car Meet Rep on the Street Race Series.

GTA+ launches on March 29 and its first month will last from its launch date to April 27.

Football-Inspired DLC Fights Onto GTA Online This Week

For many, it just wouldn't be Thanksgiving without football.

Rockstar Games has announced a new adversary mode for the online component of Grand Theft Auto V : Running Back, inspired by the aforementioned sport and coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

If you're wondering, it's basically football with vehicles. As the developer explained:

"Two teams (a total of 4-8 players) square off from opposing sides of a roadway. The elusive Runner, behind the wheel of a Benefactor Panto, must go the distance and get across the end zone line at the far end of the highway with the help of their offensive teammates in BF Biftas. Meanwhile, their defensive-minded opponents (also in Biftas) must ruthlessly block, crash and pummel their way to try to stop them."

Running Back can be played at Ranton Canyon Bridge, La Mesa Bridge and Zancudo Tunnel. It is now available to try, so give it a whirl. In May of this year, GTAV became the 4th-best selling game of all time with 52 million sold; releasing it on the new platforms obviously helped. Just don't forget that Running Back and all future GTAV updates will not be available for the last-gen versions of the game.

GTAO Halloween Surprise: Spooky Items, New Slasher Mode

Done with the Lowriders add-on ? Want some scary good content?

Grand Theft Auto V is celebrating Halloween with a special GTA Online: Halloween Surprise event, which delivers a host of creepy items along with a brand new slasher-themed adversary mode. Like the last update, this will only be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

The Halloween Surprise brings you a couple new vehicles in the form of the Lurcher Hurse and Franken Stange, plus 20 "ghoulish bobbleheads" that you can stick on any lowrider car. Then there are the iconic Halloween masks, available in the Monsters section of the Vespucci Movie Masks store and 30 "spooky face point" choices as well. As for the Slasher mode – which supports up to 8 players – Rockstar describes it as follows:

"Run, hide, and fight to survive in the darkness as the player designated as the Slasher stalks their prey with a shotgun. Use your new flashlight to navigate if you dare, but be careful not to reveal your position or you'll quickly become prey. Survive for 3 minutes and you'll get the chance to return the favor with a shotgun of your own."

If you're looking for something to do this weekend, we'll also get a new GTAO Halloween activity and a special livestream event that will occur tomorrow, October 30. Previously, Rockstar confirmed that all future updates for GTAV would only come to the new consoles and PC . Another good reason to upgrade if you haven't already.

Rockstar Focusing On New Consoles For Future GTAV Updates

If you've been playing Grand Theft Auto V on either the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360, you might be out of luck in the future.

Well, as it pertains to major updates. Developer Rockstar North is not only focusing on GTAV's multiplayer mode, GTA Online, but they're also opting to leverage the power of the newer consoles for later updates.

The team revealed the next big update for GTAO: Freemode Events, which adds a bunch of new content including the Rockstar Editor. But the new Events and the Editor will only be available on PS4 and Xbox One, and this is going to be an ongoing trend. As designer director Imran Sarwar told IGN :

"The primary technical reason is the memory capacity for the older systems. We are constantly adding new items to the game with each update and we began approaching the memory limits after the first year of GTA Online content."

Rockstar has now reached a point where they "can't make any more meaningful updates without putting the stability of the entire online game at risk," but that's mostly due to the limitations of the older machines. Sarwar added:

"We are now focused on the opportunities provided by the more powerful PS4, Xbox One, and PC–and we've got some really fun ideas on how to make the most of these more powerful machines."

Gotta keep up with the times, my gaming friends.

Don’t Use This GTAV Exploit…It’ll Blow Up In Your Face

HA. Cheater just got punked.

Well, taking advantage of an exploit isn't exactly the same as cheating and it can be entertaining.

For instance, Grand Theft Auto V players recently figured out an exploit that lets them bring some of the single-player-only cars into the online multiplayer mode. But developer Rockstar has put an end to that. As originally discovered by a Reddit user , a new patch makes the Duke O'Death vehicle explode the instant you get into it, if you've brought it online.

If you don't know, the Duke O'Death is a heavily armored muscle car and should only be available in the story mode. The video below shows how Rockstar deals with those who bypass the rules…BOOM!
