THQ Nordic And Deep Silver Have Up To 77 Games In-Development

THQ Nordic acquired Koch Media last year in a deal that cost them $149.6 million. This deal meant they also acquired Deep Silver as well as the games affiliated to the company. Fast forward to now and CEO, Lars Wingefors, has expressed that the last three months of 2018 contained constant growth for THQ Nordic.

The growth, which was attributed to Darksiders 3’s success, was proven with their total net sales. At the end of the fourth quarter, THQ Nordic had $59.9 million from game sales. The number was significantly larger than its past three quarters which saw a peak of $52.5 million during Q2, according to GamesIndustry.

During his statement, he also said THQ Nordic has already reacquired the funds they lost through marketing and development. It’s also officially established that Darksiders is one of their key IPs. They have many games in-development, according to Wingefors.

We look forward to our most exciting year ever. By the end of the quarter, we had a record 77 games under development. 48 of these are still in the pipeline waiting to be announced, including a few that are scheduled for release in 2019.

THQ Nordic and Deep Silver’s next big release is Metro Exodus which is coming this Friday to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Epic Games’ store.

What do you think? Are you excited for the next big release? Are you going to keep a close eye on further games coming out by Deep Silver or THQ Nordic?
