New Sci-fi RPG XDev Project Leaks

It appears leaks are surfacing of a new sci-fi RPG game produced with the help of Sony’s XDev partnership program. Nothing about the game is concrete and is expected to be years away.

The leak comes from a user on IconEra (via ThePSBrahs), who shared a post with details about the game alongside a short video of what looked like a third-person sci-fi adventure. According to the leaker, the game is in the very early stages and is developed in Unreal Engine 5.

It’s also mentioned that the game is also going to follow an RPG path. Nothing is confirmed, but with the year turning over, it’s possible we could see some more news, especially as the leaker clarifies that there will be more leaks later this year.

For those unaware, XDev is a program Sony operates that helped get a slurry of big games out of the gate like Heavy Rain, LittleBigPlanet, and Super Star Dust HD. It’s partnered with a good chunk of notable developers including — at one time — Quantic Dream, Sumo Digital, Supermassive Games, and Climax Studios.

All in all, XDev is mostly a helper for third-party developers to bring their content to PlayStation platforms since its inception in 2000. If this leak is real, it looks like something big is coming our way.
