KOTOR Remake Still In Development, Saber Interactive CEO Confirms

Fans clamoring for the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake are advised to keep their eyes peeled for the upcoming title, at least, according to Saber Interactive CEO Matthew Karch.

During his interview with IGN, Karch spoke about the current state of the KOTOR Remake, stating that the game remains in active development and that his studio is committed to continue working on the game. The KOTOR Remake was announced three years ago in 2021, originally lead by Aspyr Media, known for past titles including the PS4 and Switch ports of Star Wars: Republic Commando (also released in 2021) and Tomb Raider I-III Remastered.

The remake of the beloved 2005 Star Wars RPG has had little to no updates since the teaser’s reveal. Three years later, Saber now heads development of the KOTOR Remake, following their split from owner Embracer Group (via TechRadar) this year. There is no word for a release date as of yet, but fans can still expect the game to be available on PC and as a PS5 limited console exclusive.

After three years, are you still excited for the KOTOR Remake? Let us know below!
