Ben-DutkaPlayStation in one hand, Victoria's Secret models in the other…which one you gonna pick?
Damn right you're picking PlayStation! Sony's gaming brand has now moved into the Top 10 brands on Facebook ; PlayStation grew 100% over the past year to reach 15.2 million fans and supplant Victoria's Secret on the Top 10 list. Coca-Cola remains in the #1 slot with 29 million fans (33% growth), Starbucks slipped to #3 behind Disney, and Oreo and RedBull round out the Top 5. But it's the PlayStation brand's growth that is most impressive; no other brand in the top 10 experienced a 100% rise; the closest is Converse at a little over 70%. Victoria's Secret is no longer in the top list but iTunes is on there…maybe there's a way we could combine those two. ..but please, God, don't let the models sing.
I'm wondering if the Facebook top 10 says something about the triviality of these social media services. Maybe it doesn't…what do I know?
now if they could translate that growth into console sales it would mean something. sales are the true measurement of popularity.

Having looked at the image in this article, all I can say is that it's a crying shame that a video game console – no matter how good it is – can surpass Victoria's Secret models.

i share your sentiments about sony needing more popularity in america. na is one tough nut for sony(sorry couldn't help it). i've spent many an hr puzzling over the trials and tribulations of sony's situation here in the US.

Excelsior1 – I don't understand it either. Sony's PS3 is by far the best bang for the buck!

I think it says more about popular society than anything else. The next thing you know Sony will be supplanted by a Kardashian.

Well Ben, you and I have different opinions on which we'd rather have. I mean I HAVE a PS3… I don't have the ability to at least fondle Victoria Secret models…. so I would pick the models…. They can give me mouth hugs while I play games XD
