Ed Harris, Gary Oldman Set To Star In Black Ops

Even if you're not the biggest fan of the genre, you have to admit that Treyarch and Activision are going all out with Call of Duty: Black Ops .

In the past, developer Treyarch has said there will indeed be a focus on the storyline, and they want to make the new CoD as engrossing as a full theatrical film. Well, some top-quality voice talent will certainly help: Activision has confirmed that both Gary Oldman ("True Romance," "Batman Begins," "The Dark Knight") and Ed Harris will be featured in the hotly anticipated blockbuster. Oldman will be back to handle the voice of Viktor Reznov (from Treyarch's previous CoD installment, World at War ), and Harris will assume the role of CIA operative Jason Hudson, one of the main characters. Oh, and comic book writer David S. Goyer lent support to the script and writers; Goyer was involved with both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight . Oldman has done plenty of games before, including several Spyro the Dragon titles and Medal of Honor: Allied Assault . As for Harris, the well-known and well-respected Hollywood actor who has been in movies like "A Beautiful Mind" and "The Rock," this will be his first foray into the world of interactive entertainment.

As if this game needed more incentive to sell. Call of Duty: Black Ops is scheduled to hit store shelves like a ton of bricks on November 9.
