TLoU Left Behind DLC Set For February 14, Costs $14.99?

Officially, we don't have a release date for The Last Of Us single-player DLC, Left Behind.

However, an image captured in the NeoGAF forums , taken from the US PlayStation Store, tells us that the single-player expansion will arrive on February 14. That's when we'll be able to discover the "real" Ellie, or so says the developer.

Left Behind has been described as more "playful" than the very serious, forbidding theme in the main story. The adventure focuses on Ellie and her friend Riley, and players will also learn how Ellie came to be bitten by an Infected. Voice actress Ashley Johnson said we should expect a "post-pandemic version of two teenage girls hanging out." That's a little disturbing, but still fun.

That picture also proves that the DLC will sport a price tag of $14.99, and I say it's worth every penny. We're talking about the very best game of 2013 (in my opinion) and Naughty Dog just doesn't disappoint. Besides, how often do we see compelling single-player story expansions?

I ought to play TLoU more. It's really great. The combat doesn't feel like Uncharted with zombies and I'm impressed by how Naughty Dog has created game play that feels it's own.
I just find I'm not always in the mood for depressive brutal horror in my entertainment.
I think once I finish off Mass Effect 3 I'll devote more quality time.

Good news for those millions of fans, and a shot at reassuring you that we picked the right Best Character for 2013's GOTYs.

Not entirely sure of the price as I only paid £20 for the whole game itself. I do support more single player dlc though.

Its a miss for me since it adds nothing I do not already know, BUT I am certain it will be a must for the diehard and I am sure won't disappoint. Enjoy!

Mind you… if they DO have it ported to the PS4 I am sure they will have all DLC included in the package so…. for those willing to wait and see, might be worth it.

Keep playing!

It adds a lot that you don't know. This is Ellie before the events of the game.

The problem with prequels, you know the main character wont die. Especially in a survival storyline, it really ruins a lot of suspense.

KT you could be right, but since I played the game about 6 times for me it adds nothing that would be incentive. Ellie lives and her friend dies. Granted there will be in-betweens and possibly further info on the Fireflies since that is who she is living with. Well, there abouts. Maybe.

And really, not that interesting other than she is one of the main characters in the original game. I personally found Bill and sorta Ish more interesting characters that I did not know a whole lot about. There personalities, Bills anyway, interesting. I think Bill would have been a great character to further develop. Ellie not so much as she already was.

Look, its just my experience and opinion. Not knocking it to say no one else should play it. Just that it really does not interest me. Although I am sure it will be an interesting experience to fight the Clicks et al once again. Probably with simpler weapons and familiar tactics.

Who knows, when it comes out, I may change my mind once I hear others verdicts. Should be good for the fans.

Keep playing!

I rarely pay for DLC, but when I do, you know that is a damn great game! and The Last of Us is one of that game.

That's pretty steep for me…I'd need to know how much additional gameplay it would add..

Best DLC value imo, was Rockstar's Red Dead Nightmare. It was only 10 bucks and it was awesome. Imo, DLCs that add a little more to the story should be no more than 10 dollars. It's like paying for a "chapter" of a game. Of course, I don't know the full content of the expansion, but if it's like 2-4 hours, 15 dollars is pretty steep, IMO.

I forgot to mention, Blood of Festival for Infamous 2 which was 10 dollars. That was a pretty awesome experience too.
