Rockstar Delays GTA$ Stimulus Cash, Reveals First DLC

Oh, don't worry, the extra money is coming.

Rockstar Games previously announced a GTA$ stimulus package for Grand Theft Auto Online , which would deliver more cash to multiplayer participators. Unfortunately, the developer has revealed that the first half of that stimulus package has been delayed at least for a week. More bugs need to be ironed out before they can pony up:

"We of course want to ensure that game progress loss issues are sufficiently sorted before distributing the GTA$ to everyone. We have a few more tweaks and fixes to make in a new title update that will hit sometime next week and then we will distribute the cash."

The package includes two installments of $250,000 but Rockstar has made it plain that players won't enjoy the windfall until the game was stable. So, you have to wait a bit longer but on the plus side, they did reveal the first downloadable content for GTAO. It's called the Beach Bum Pack and it opens up new beach-themed vehicles and weaponry, which can be used in both the online action and single-player campaign. We'll also get new customization options for our characters, and new Jobs can be attempted. This expansion will be ready to go in November.

Lastly, Rockstar says they're still working on the first part of the anticipated GTA Online Content Creator, which will let players craft, publish, rate and play custom Deathmatch and Race Jobs. Some of these creations will be dubbed "Rockstar Verified" and will be honored on the Rockstar Newswire. Both the Beach Bum Pack and the Content Creator will be free.

Now, just give us our half-million!
