Better late than never!
Square Enix has announced that Drakengard 3 will release exclusively for the PlayStation 3 in North America next year. It will be the first time gamers have seen this series since Drakengard 2 launched on the PS2 back in 2006.
The third entry is a prequel to the first title and is slated to hit Japanese store shelves later this month. Nier composer Keiichi Okabe handled the music for Drakengard 3 and as you might expect, that great music will accompany our dragon-riding. Dragons are a big part of this action/RPG that features both ground and air combat. Players will control two sisters – Zero and One – who wield the power of the ancient Utauti goddesses.
Those lucky gamers in Japan will be able to purchase a special 10th anniversary Drakengard 3 box set that will feature a book entitled "Drakengard: World Inside," a soundtrack CD, and a Blu-Ray disc called "Drakengard History Films." There's no word on whether or not this compilation will be available in North America. We're guessing it won't be.

Baby ending. I couldn't play this after being terrified by that ending.
I'm going to play the heck out of this. Its being made by the same guys who did Drakenguard 1 and Nier so you know its going to be awesome and sad and weird.
Also the soundtrack is by the guys that did NieR so the music will be amazing too.
I can't get this game quick enough.
Never heard of the others but it's Japanese, it has their womenfolk, it has RPG stuff, it has dragons, it has Nier style music… I think I'm already convinced for when it comes stateside.
Don't you thumb me down bitch.

I know I get phantom thumb downed for saying that this game is going to be awesome. I notice that in some articles just thumbs down for the more ridiculous stuff.
haha, I was tryin to be funny but that probably looked mean.
Well, this one is all about womens, the previous ones not so much.
"We're guessing it won't be." Way to stay positive. If project diva managed to get a western release, there's always hope.
The game will come but special editions like that pretty much never do.
loved the first but those endings…man those endings…nightmare fuel for weeks there, had to work a long time to get the whole story unlocked. The second game i liked but not quite as much as the first
Never got to play Drakengard, but I really enjoyed Nier and the soundtrack of Nier, so I'm looking forward to this.
Oh this is a surprise! I genuinely didn't think this would make it across shores, how exciting. NieR was one of my favourite games this gen so I will certainly be looking into this, if we don't get it in Europe, I'll be porting a US copy. Still plenty of life in the PS3 it seems.
Been following this one when I happen across news for it. It's sounding quite cool, but PSN-only release gets me down a little :/
Is it a PSN release? The articles said Japan is getting a special edition which is boxed. Ideally I would want a boxed copy… But digital is better than nothing..
pretty sure not psn only, as SE has the ability to pre-order it off their site, so I have to assume that's physical.
Digital only in Europe, by the looks of things:

Wait.. What? How have you never heard of Drakenguard? The old ones battle system was soooo stiff and slooowww. Just like Dynasty Warriors. I tried the first 2 even half way through I couldn't get into it. I would love a game like this with more fluid attacks, Kratos-esque if you will. lol
I've played Drakengard 2, I enjoyed playing that game.. I'll probably buy Drakengard 3 if I still don't have a ps4 on the game's released day..
