Although a big patch is already available for Grand Theft Auto Online , it will take some time before everything is running along smoothly.
In addition to posting an updated list of the continuing issues plaguing GTAO, the Rockstar support page has added a special "loss" category.
There are still some problems with various error messages, matchmaking issues, failing to begin or load missions, and disconnections. But more concerning is the very unfortunate "loss of characters, rank, items, apartments, and/or in-game money." Here's the statement:
"We have received reports from some players who experienced losing characters, progress, items, and/or in-game cash during the first few days after release. We are working diligently to identify and correct the causes for these losses, as well as to establish how best to restore any lost progress and value."
To learn more about the issue, visit this page . Rockstar will continue to work out the kinks as time goes on, so get ready for more patches and updates in the near future. It must really suck to lose your hard-earned stuff, though. That has to be annoying to the max.

It's actually pretty satisfying when it works but it's going to be a long time before I can log in without a knot in my stomach that maybe my progress has been wiped. After all of this, I'll never be confident enough to pay them money for GTA$!
This is a pretty big deal. I know a lot of you love Rockstar, but I hope this isn't something you just shrug off just because it's Rockstar.
I think this may hurt their microtransaction sales when those come back.
I think t has hurt them already. I imagine a lot of people buy the stuff early on to get an edge in the game above others. Personally I'd rather play the game but it must have had an impact.
