Beyond: Two Souls Earns Invitation To The Tribeca Film Festival

Well, if there's one game out there that deserves to be part of the festival…

It has been announced that Quantic Dream's upcoming PlayStation 3 exclusive, Beyond: Two Souls , is an official selection for the Tribeca Film Festival this year.

The game will enjoy a screening on April 27; it will be a one-hour scene from the game, which will be followed by a Q&A session with director David Cage and actress Ellen Page. We'll also get a brand new trailer at that time. Beyond isn't the first game to land an invitation to the festival in question; Team Bondi's L.A. Noire was selected in 2011. As for Quantic Dream's project, it's one of the most anticipated of the generation and it features quite the cast; in addition to Page, Willem Defoe has also been confirmed for the stirring drama.

Beyond: Two Souls is slated to launch for the PS3 on October 8.

It is *fantastic* that Sony got an exclusives deal with this developer. Personally I's day it's easily the most important developer of Sony exclusives today.

"We're certainly not going to change partner for the sake of making more money; that's not the philosophy behind our studio. As long as we can create the games we want to create, we'll stay with Sony." said QD's co-CEO recently.

Yes, we must shove our artistic games in the film people's faces and make them see the wonderfulness of gaming.

It's hard to keep avoiding this footage ya know?

Is it just me, or every time I look at this game it seems it looks better the Watchdogs, graphically I mean. I'm convinced BTS will put many a next-gen title to shame on the graphics department…
And yes, I'm aware that Watchdogs is a open world game, but still…
