That's really all one can say at this point, especially after…what, five, six years of next to nothing concerning Final Fantasy Versus XIII ?
But anyway, Square Enix insists we'll hear more about Final Fantasy X HD at some point in the near future. In response to a fan question concerning the upcoming remake at Square Enix's European Twitter page , we got the following update:
"The world will get answers soon…we promise."
The reimagining of one of the franchise's most memorable titles was announced for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita during the Tokyo Game Show back in 2011. Since that time, it has disappeared off the radar, although Square Enix has routinely popped up just long enough to say the project is "still in development." At this rate, seeing any FF redone in HD seems like a dream come true, so we'll hold out hope for those answers.

Yep, a reimagining of FFX… with a battle system as great as Lighting Returns with the added bonus of a countdown to Sin-mageddon… can't wait for it.
If the game really comes out, I'd be all over it like Amazon ants over a dumb grasshopper.
I will also give out results of my grandchildren…in about 30 years. SE quit the BS and give me my f-ing games. Im so tired of waiting for FFvs13 and now im ressisting that strong urge to play through ffx because of the HD version your apparently working on. Either get it done or stop f-ing with people and telling them that your on it. Its not longer going to work because people like myself are just done waiting.
I'm having the same problem, I want to play it again but I imagined this would be done by now, it's just a cosmetic change for craps sake.

After FFXIII-4 gets announced we maybe would get some info.
I think "soon" means within a decade from now to SE. Hopefully they aren't planning to make unwanted changes and just do the graphics. We shouldn't forget FFX was the last one by Squaresoft.
Anyone else seeing a patern here? Everytime SE announces a Final Fantasy exclusive to PS3, it's like pulling embedded, petrified teeth from stone when trying to get any substantial update on it.
Can't risk taking away any of the immense interest gamers have for Lightning Returns now can they?

I wish that remake included ffx-2. Or maybe they are going to make it after this one, buying both regardless. I honestly do think they will get to ff7. They've remade so many of their games so far. It just won't come when people want to.
Weren't they meant to have some kind of showcase soon? Eh… they're working on Valve time for the games that people want.
seems like $E and i have VERY different definitions for the term "soon".
so, can we expect this soon event before or after the Apocalypse?
and before or after cows learn to fly, hell freezes over, and versus XIII releases?
I still do not see any need for this, the original PS2 version still looks and plays great. If anything I would like them to keep the better character models in all the time – as the is a clear distinction between the flat ones and the really good ones.
As for the game itself, I hope the changes arent drastic. I love the battle system from X – I would even go as far to say it is my battle system in any FF. I have been playing this recently and what makes it so lovely is how it breaks the typical battle field so much. For instance when you fight Sin on the boat before Kilika you have Sin's fin in the background moving around the boat, the stages are really full of life.
Voice acting will be a thorny issue, many criticize Tidus' voice. I can understand why, but I have to say it suits the character well – So I hope the changes arent as drastic as the Silent Hill HD Collection.
I liked his voice as well. However, I'm ok with them re-doing that laughing scene.
It would be great if they synced the lips.

Yeah, synced lips would add to the immersion. I agree.
This is my most anticipated PS3 game actually.
I just hope the gameplay remains the same and that they release the International Version with the extra enemies worldwide.
Oh and I hope that they release X-2 at some point in the future to complete the story.

Once they are done rewriting the combat engine to "better suit todays gaming market" we will here some answers….
I honestly wouldn't be one bit surprised if they were turning this HD remake into an action RPG. It seems like the Square thing to do.
Honestly though I would rather hear something about Versus13….please.
Translation: "We are now announcing that we will soon reveal an upcoming announcement to inform our fans that we'll announce a hint to the announcement of a reveal of a countdown site that will lead to the announcement of an upcoming game reveal hint. You'll be pleased by it!"

Wasting my time, Square Enix, I'm not going to buy the same game in HD.
I don't want them to change anything voice acting wize. Everyones voice was great. I know, tidus's (or in my case a$$clown) was well suited to his character. We don't need another SH HD collection fiasco.
Still holding my breath for Kingdom Hearts 3. Been blue for a while now.
I think I would prefer the FFX remake to anything FFXIII-related.
