Sometimes, Grand Theft Auto fans like to go back and revisit the different cities they explored in each franchise installment.
But what if you could explore them all…in one game?
Rockstar North boss Leslie Benzies told Digital Trends that he'd like to develop one all-encompassing GTA title that features all the previous cities in the series.
The idea would be that the player could travel back and forth between Liberty City, Vice City, and San Andreas in one gigantic world. Personally, I'd love it if each city would be like the full original game, with all the missions and story and characters, but I'm not sure we can expect that. Said Benzies:
"Of course at some point we would like to have one big world containing all our cities and let the player fly between them and revisit their favorite areas. In that context re-imagining Vice City would be very interesting."
As for my favorite city – Vice City – returning as a setting in the future, Benzies said "it's always a possibility" and it's a metropolis Rockstar "would love to revisit." However, he did add that Vice City was more about the time period than any other GTA, so it might feel a little weird traveling back to the 80s again. Me, I wouldn't feel weird about that at all .
Blu-ray anyone??
They could always go the Final Fantasy XIII-2 route and have you just decide to fly through an interdimensional time rift as if it were a thing to do on any given Sunday afternoon. Wala, back in the 80s.
It's shocking how small the GTAIII Liberty City is by today's standards, it seemed huge back then.
Multiple GTAs in one massive game? I'm so for that!
How about incorporate GTA London too, never played the PS1 titles. Looking at today's standards those games probably suck.
For the next gen?
This sounds amazing, though if they can't find an excuse to go back to the 80s for a sequel, I'd be down for a remake/reimagining on next gen hardware. Eighties forever.
BEN, uh hey. I sorta just worked real hard on my new Avatar and it would be cool if people could see it. I know ya had to tamp down on the people making giant ones but maybe the auto-resize could be about double what it is now.
-request over
-World.
Your avatar seems pretty good-sized to me…bigger than most others, actually. 🙂
Really? On my screen it has become very tiny. Try reloading your page. This isn't the Aeris one.

I see a tiny one too.
I still see the big Aeris one.
It's because of caching, this site never ask the browsers to reload the avatars, so what avatar we see depends on when in time you loaded Worlds avatar (it's read from your local browser cache, not from this server). I see the Dishonoured avatar for WorldEndsWithMe myself.
When I reloaded your avatar I now see the small picture you refer to, it's BioShock Infinite right?
I bet several of you still see a female superhero as my avatar right? It's quite a while since I changed it.

Only on PS4!
Nothing else is possible.
San andreas was insane, at times i would get sidetracked doing the mini missions like trucking for hours. Also driving from the city to the country really took some time
Cruising around on the hog was some good times.
Man, I'd love to see all of the past GTA's city's in a all-in-1 game!
Still love the '80s feel of Vice City…but I'm up for a future version as well. It's the characters which made the game one of the most special for me.
If this game comes out before the next gen consoles, how many xbox360 disc will it take for all that? like 10 lol
Interesting proposal. I could see it working too, if they adopt the multi-character approach that they have with GTA V. Seeing Vice City again would be awesome, but I think without the 80s setting it would feel a bit bland.
Or they could always go an MMO-like route. That could be rather interesting.
playing Yakuza 5 right now what a Masterpiece.Game of the millenium
I would love a revisit to Vice City, and having all of the other past GTA locales in one game. An '80s revisit would be the best, but it could work in a modern setting as well.
Hmm… How to go to 1980s Vice City???
Anyone got a good GTA style vehicle name for a "DeLorian"?

How about this: redo all games to GTA IV look, call it GTA world. Sound good if it would fit in a blu-ray. Not sure if this would work on the Xbox 360, you would probably need 8 DVDs and hard drive space of at least 50gb.
Sounds like a great idea. I'd love that. And I really do hope that one day it can come true
