Dishonored DLC Will Hit PS3, 360, And PC Simultaneously

If you're done with Dishonored and you already miss the rat-infested, plague-stricken city of Dunwall, we've got good news.

Yep, you'll soon want to return to that broken, demoralizing city 'cuz it's just so much fun . Today, Bethesda has announced three upcoming downloadable content packs for the fantastic gem from Arkane Studios. Perhaps most importantly, each will release simultaneously for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. Considering the issues Bethesda products have faced with the PS3 ( Skyrim players on Sony's machine have yet to see any DLC), this is great to hear.

First up is the Dunwall City Trials, which will be available in December and feature 10 challenge maps "that will test and track your combat, stealth and mobility skills." There's even an arena battle against waves of enemies, a series of drop-assassinations, and a timed run. New Trophies and Achievements await as well. The Dunwall City Trials will retail for $4.99 (or 400 Microsoft Points), which may be cheaper than anticipated.

The next two packs will be coming in 2013, with solid launch dates and pricing to be determined. They will boast story-driven campaigns; for instance, the second pack will introduce you to Daud, "the leader of a group of supernatural assassins known as 'The Whalers.'" This has a general estimated release window of Spring 2013, and the third piece of DLC remains unknown at this time. They'll talk about it more when we get a little closer to its release.

Great stuff for Dishonored fans!

I'm interested in those single player expansions but if they are too expensive so I'll just wait for a GOTY version. Love this game. I beat it a week ago and it's still on my mind.

I didn't bother with the first two missions (just wanted to do what I wanted to do), but I opted for pure stealth in the third mission, the one on the bridge.

I did manage to complete it with all the shrines, paintings, bone charms, and runes, and with zero killed, zero bodies found, and zero alarms. It was crazy satisfying because I got like four Trophies for that. LOL

But I generally play however I feel like playing…besides, I can't just ignore my awesome Shadow Kill ability. 😉

Wow Ben, that is some accomplishment. Though sometimes it's fun to use their stuff against them like rewiring a wall of light and then setting off an alarm. Some of the dumber enemies run into it and vaporize! 🙂

Yeah, I know. I just wanted to see if I could get all 0s on the board…the hardest part is never being noticed. 😉

I feel like a GOTY won't come out for way too long (Since we would have to wait for all DLC to release) 🙁

I wish I could wait but I'm already having trouble holding off now (waiting for a cheaper price since I don't have time)

The next time I play I'm definitely going to try to get noticed less, I think I did pretty good for a stealth amateur though. The paintings are hard to find!

Yeah, the paintings can be tough, but I have NO idea how you find every last penny laying around. I'm pretty damn thorough and I often only get 1/2 or 2/3 of the money (if I'm lucky).

I read the caption for this and thought it was odd how the tone of it seemed to be as if we were getting some special privilege as oppose to something we should receive anyway. I get why… its just a shame.

Also for anyone interested Overstock has the PS3 version for 44.99 + 2.95 S&H. Bad part is it ships 2-3 weeks after. I'm hoping for Target deal to help me score ACIII, Dishonored, and a still undecided game (Suggestions welcome).

laxpro2001,

Just an FYI….

Newegg(DOT)com has got a $47.99 deal with free shipping that's going on right on new pre-orders

I am aware but thanks for the info biker. The only one I really have an itch to play right now is Dishonored so I am going to pass unless I can get a good b2g1 free.

Thanks for looking out though!

If you want to check it out, Bestbuy has a B2-G1F games deal going on right now too.

Yup knew of that one too but it ends too soon. I need to be able to get Dishonored & ACIII to justify spending a large sum of money. I still don't know which game I would want as a 3rd…

5 bucks not bad. Any coop for this game, thinking down the line with DLC to?

Probably not, you are a lone assassin.

This has to be a first for a Bethesda published product. But I'm not going to give them too much credit, it really shouldn't be that hard to bring DLC to all systems.
