Sleeping Dogs Nightmare In Northpoint DLC Might Be Freaky

Sleeping Dogs is definitely one of the more entertaining titles of the year, and it certainly deserves some extra content.

Perhaps fittingly, a very scary piece of DLC for Square Enix's popular game is scheduled to drop just before Halloween on October 30. You ready?

According to Kotaku , developer United Front Games revealed at a New York Comic-Con panel that the latest DLC is entitled "Nightmare in Northpoint" and it'll be "horror-themed," with a possible similarity to the "Undead Nightmare" DLC for Red Dead Redemption . Thus far, we've already seem some DLC that gives us fresh racing and cop missions, but this new offering definitely implies…well, let's just say it: Zombies. United Front said players will "explore other aspects of Hong Kong cinema," which could mean just about anything but…really…let's face it…zombies seem inevitable.

Okay, so maybe the walking undead don't fit in Sleeping Dogs . They didn't fit in Call of Duty , either, and look what happened.

Zombies pretty much fit wherever you want to put them. I hear there's a good Columbian movie called Juan of the Dead, lol.

Have you ever seen Shaun of the Dead? That is one seriously funny film. It's actually pretty clever the way it does things as well.

Please, no UGF. You guys proved that you are better and more creative than zombies with the base game. I'm not going to get the DLC anyway, but I am almost unspeakably disappointed by this news. It's just not right. At all.

This game is very well an underrated gem. I definitely recommend this game if any one wants to experience Hong Kong at its best, in an open world environment. This is one of the very few things I appreciate Square Enix doing this gen.

As for zombies, I'm going to await my judgement. Unless you can play it online, I don't know how fun it would be playing it by yourself in a game that takes place in a city with the focus of Triads gang members.

Wow! Who would`ve thunk it~ I dared the developer via Sleeping Dogs FB to make a zombie game based in Hong Kong…Unbelievable!!!! I just hope the DLC is region free…My main ac is Asia and my game is R2…

Other aspects of Hong Kong cinema?

Since this is originally police and triad theme so there's a lot of possibilities.

Though I doubt that this horror-themed DLC will feature zombies.
HK cinema was never known for having good zombie films.
Their horror films always go supernatural.

But hey, I might be wrong, United Front ain't from Hong Kong some they might add zombies but I sure hope they don't.

Apparently it's not strictly zombies… but the Chinese equivalent of them. Not really sure of the difference. Also, Jiang Shi, Chinese vampires.

And Wei now has magical fists of lightning and a peachwood sword for exorcisms. *shrugs*

Oh, you mean the hopping vampire don't ya?
I love that stuff, enjoyed a few from the 80s.

That MIGHT be scary if done right, I mean, I wouldn't want a few dudes dressing as imperial ministers hopping their way to suck my life out of me.
