Limited Editions For ZoE HD Collection And Metal Gear Rising

Pay attention, Kojima fans.

Not one, but two limited editions are coming your way , and you just might want to grab both. The good news is that both are very different, and one features a demo for the other.

The first is the Zone of the Enders HD Collection Limited Edition, which is slated to launch on October 30 and contains a horde of goodies: A special gold and metallic packaging, a soundtrack, and a 100-page art book with illustrations from Metal Gear and Zone of the Enders artist Yoji Shinkawa. Also packed in is a demo for next year's Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance …yup, there will be a Limited Edition for that, too.

The latter includes a soundtrack, two-sided steelbook, and "high-frequency katana plasma lamp." This will come out alongside the game on February 19, and hardcore fans of the MGS franchise might just have to have it. Of course, this is a spin-off so maybe not… Depends on how you look at it, I guess. By the way, prices weren't revealed for these LEs.

Doubt it. I don't think HD collections ever gotten demos.

I know 🙁 I'm just not sure if I'd like it, even after some investigations.

some do the GOW collections got a demo.
shame allot of games these days dont though, not only HD collections but all games in general.
its because developers dont have enough time to work on a specific code base and get it up to certification standards.
that and consumers dont understand the word DEMO!
so many times a demo has released with a few flaws and the sh*t had hit the fan, so developers have decided to not run that risk anymore.

ZOE2 is great gameplay wise and story wise. The first is only really good story wise. I meant its alright but the second one really outside the first.

It is a fast paced mech shooter so if you are interested in that and a nice anime type story you will enjoy it. I think it would be worth getting just to see what else kojima has come up with.

I actually didn't like the games at first but they grew on me as I played them more.

Is ZoE good? Never play it but the limited edition looks cool.

ZoE was great! Curious to see how it holds up, but it should do beautifully. I was floored by this game when it released (and I'm not a huge mech battle fan).

Would consider the ZoE LE. Soundtracks are cool, and I find artbooks interesting. Probably 'cos I'm a godawful artist, but am able to appreciate it. As for Rising, a plasma lamp…. Really? If it was just the soundtrack, maybe, but that sort of unrelated extra just turns me off.

I would totally get ZoE, but I don't think I can afford the standard version. As for Rising, well the lamp would be cool, but I need to be sure about the game itself before I buy it.

soooooooooooooooooooooooo cant wait for this!
its so sad how mech games have taken such a downturn this gen!
they were so popular during the ps1 and ps2 days, but now there very rare and when we finally do get one there pretty crappy.
another genre that has gone from king of the jungle to almost extinct.
a demo for rising is a nice plus too.
hopefully there will be a few teasers for the new ZOE game too………..

ZoE LE is already up for pre-order on Amazon for the dirt-cheap price of $59.99. That's a steal of a deal if you ask me!

Never played the ZOE games when they came out, but I'm honestly an even bigger Kojima fan now than I was then so I'm might tempted to try them. Anyone have any good (or bad) memories of these games they'd like to share?
