Black Ops 2 Apparently Confirmed, Set For November 13

By now, nobody will be surprised when Activision unveils the next Call of Duty on May 1 during the NBA playoffs.

There's a 99.9% chance it'll be Black Ops 2 and thanks to a fan snapping a photograph of a Target pre-order card (as reported by IGN ), it seems this year's shooter blockbuster will release on November 13.

So basically, it confirms the title and the date, even though we still have nothing official just yet. Other retail evidence has also suggested a November 13 launch, and the name "Black Ops 2" has been bouncing around the Internet for most of 2012. As I mentioned before, though, if you want to see the premiere announcement, tune into the NBA playoffs on TNT on Tuesday, May 1. Yeah, Activision always likes to introduce the CoD installments to the mainstream with a big bang.

The only question is whether or not the hardcore fans are going to be totally jazzed…or if they'll be less than enthusiastic over this sequel. Oh, who are kidding? Of course they'll be pumped.

Im not a hardcore fan of CoD but I have been a quazi-fan. But I think now I'm ready to drop CoD fan status altogether. Just not doing it for me anymore.

Slightly off topic but… I don't understand why publishers are revealing the goods before E3 because E3 is not too far off.

They may have something bigger to unveil. Cue Modern Warfare 4.

Ughhhh, I cannot think of anything more tedious than Zombies… Kill a wave, next wave, kill that wave, next stronger harder to kill wave… I dunno how people can play it so religiously. When there is no point or actual goal to it… Spec Ops is where it's at.

Both are great. The great thing about zombies is playing with friends. What makes it fun is the pointless, mindless time killer that it is. I can play zombies all day with 3 other friends.

But I also really enjoy spec ops. Im good enjoying both!

I have fun playing it because I HAVE FRIENDS TO PLAY IT WITH. Just stick to whatever you like then, IDGAF about other peoples opinions !!! i.e Raccoon City i bought this game because i seen the gameplay NOT because of the reviews EVERBODY gave it. I really dont care what other people think once again !

There's just nothing to say is there? It isn't even fun to bash the series anymore and it's hard to be taken seriously if you are excited for yet another of these games.

I say it best when I say nothing at all.

im really happy to see treyarch are sticking to the black ops series, i really wanted to see a sequel to it and now here it is.
its amazing how so few games have done the cold war era, i mean how many assassinations, attempts, conspiracy, i mean come on if there is ONE historical event out there that places so many different story possibilities its the cold war.
and no ones done it yet!
i just hope this time the gameplay is a little more, shall we say adventitious?
and add a better story, the one in BO was ok but could be so so much better!

I m done until a new engine come out , it s just ridiculous how overuse it is now .

I ll have Bioshock , borderland and Farcry 3 for my fps fix anyway .

As for mp , Farcry 3 will do the trick .

i hear this one is set in the near future – so we will have modern weapons – yeaa. Might be an old engine – but the gameplay is still the same adrenaline rush as ever.

Grand theft what? bah

Well its no more waiting outside at a gamestop for this game for me anymore, Im just gonna rent it and see if I want to keep because I traded in MW3 for BF3 is way better IMO. Plus i said I cant have to cod games since the latest BF3 update.

How can some be excited about a game when the previous one is just six months old?

I personally would like to see Activision really try to push how much they can squeeze out of these die hard fans by releasing two CoD titles a year.
