Kojima Wants To Produce Multiple Titles

Everyone is anxiously anticipating Hideo Kojima's next project. It remains a mystery but thankfully, he's working on multiple titles.

Therefore, it's just a matter of time before one of them comes to the forefront. At this rate, there's no knowing what it'll be, 'cuz his secret "Ogre Project" game might take a while. But there's good news.

In a recent OPM UK interview (as cited at NeoGAF ), Kojima first spoke about Ogre Project and what gamers can expect:

"I can’t really say too much about that project [Project Ogre] yet, but it’s a very subdued experience – it’s a little bit different to what I’ve done up until now. On the surface it will look similar, but once you get into it, it will be a different experience – and I’m hoping people look forward to that."

However, he added that this is still a ways off, so he wants to produce "some other things on the side," and he referenced Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance . But what else might he be working on? His team helped Mercury Steam with Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and we had heard about a possible sequel… Then there's the title hardcore Kojima fans have wanted for a long time: Zone of the Enders 3 .

Guess we'll just have to wait and see but as far as we're concerned, anything Kojima does should, by all rights, turn to gold. So we'll be patient.

I'd be interested in seeing him away from the stealth genre when it comes to the new IP.

Is project ogre the same as his "taboo" game?

I don't think he's ever mentioned that it is his taboo game or not. Last I heard his hand was forced not to go with it, which is why he was growing frustrated a year or so ago. For all we know it could very well be a game teaching about sexual harassment in the workplace.

"Since near the dawn of gaming, Hideo Kojima has realized various franchises. Gamers have progressed with them. So where does Zone of the Enders lead our gaming needs?"

I want a new ZOE game so bad. It just simply eclipses all action mech games, and bringing it to the current gen would probably give me such a huge, enormous, smile on my face.

im starting to get worried hes spreading himself too thin.
i mean hes only one man, how many projects can you handle at once?
eh, whatever less talky and more releasy!
if this guy released HALF the games he talks about we would be drowning in disks by now!

Kojima is bursting with creativity. Imagine if he were totally unleashed what he could produce, without budgetary and technological barriers…

Go ahead Kojima, we await your brilliance to shine once more…

Hideo Kojima is one of my favorite developers, Metal Gear Solid being one of my favorites series of all time. I am looking forward to more information on the Orgre Project game that he is working on. I glad that he takes his time, because he is one of the most talented and creative developers in the business. I wish there were more game developers like him and Naughty Dog, who put a lot of hard work into developing games with great stories and game play, and makes it hard for the gamer to put down his controller because they want to keep going to to see what will happens next. But the regret that I have is that I never took a chance on trying Zone of the Enders. Now I will have to try and find a copy of that game and give it a try.
