S.L.A.I. Blasts Into Stores

S.L.A.I. (Steel Lancer Arena International) has shipped to retail stores nationwide, according to a press release from Konami. The first online mech game for the PS2, S.L.A.I. promises to deliver a fast-paced, arcade style experience for both novice and advanced gamers.

"As the first online mech combat game for the PlayStation 2, S.L.A.I. provides hours of non-stop battle action and frenzied excitement for all gamers," said Dennis Lee, Group Manager at Konami Digital Entertainment – America. "While the game delivers an approachable pick-up-and-play experience for the genre, it is the customization, stealth features and online play that sets S.L.A.I. apart."

S.L.A.I. contains over 50 hours of gameplay that takes place in cities such as Hong Kong, London, Tokyo, Cairo, and New York. Online arenas allow up to six players to enter with four players battling head-to-head at one time. You'll even be able to create your own custom soundtrack by choosing from the 90+ songs in the game.

S.L.A.I. is available exclusively for the PlayStation 2 for an MSRP of $39.99 and rated "T" for Teen by the ESRB.
