NASCAR 07 Drives to Retail

Electronic Arts has announced that NASCAR 07 has shipped for the PS2 and Xbox. Its baby brother, NASCAR, has also shipped for the PSP. Both games should be in stores starting tomorrow.

NASCAR 07 features an all-new Adrenaline Meter, improved car handling, and all-new driver ratings. EA also promises that their new blurring effect and camera shake will make the game feel faster than ever before.

NASCAR 07 is rated “E” for (Everyone) by the ESRB.

Cannon Fodder For PSP Announced

Codemasters has announced the return of their classic franchise, Cannon Fodder. The game is being developed for the PSP, and will be released sometime in spring 2007.

In Cannon Fodder, players command their troop of soldiers, individually or as a group, in both on-foot and vehicle based combat missions. The title is all-new and will update the gameplay of the 16-bit originals, combining fast-paced strategic action with the series’ sense of humor that earned it the tagline, “war has never been so much fun.”

New features include the ability to call in air strikes, perform radar sweeps, and there will be new weapons as well, including flamethrowers and sniper rifles. The game will utilize the PSP's WiFi abilities with four-player link play in deathmatch as well as co-op scenarios.

Dance Factory Steps To Retail

Dance Factory the new dancing game available only for the PlayStation 2 is in stores today, according to a press release from Codemasters.

Using "innovative and unique beat recognition technology," Dance Factory creates dance steps from any piece of music in your CD collection, from Abba to ZZ Top. This means you've got a near endless amount of songs you can rump shake to. The game also supports the EyeToy, and even lets you lay down your own dance steps for songs, saving them so you can play them anytime.

For the health conscious, Dance Factory offers abFitness mode. Players input their weight, and the game calculates how many calories they are burning as they play. The interface will also tell gamers how far they would have had to run or swim to achieve the same result.

Xenosaga Episode III Ships

Namco Bandai announced today that Xenosaga Episode III: Also sprach Zarathustra, the final chapter in the Xenosaga RPG series, has shipped exclusively for the PS2. The game should be hitting retailers nationwide today.

“We are thrilled to have Xenosaga III ship to retailers today as this final chapter reveals and answers everything the fans have been dying to know since the release of the first game. Xenosaga III takes ‘epic’ to a whole new level with its grand-scale and engrossing storyline and the speedy, action-packed battle system,” Yoshi Niki, of Namco Bandai.

The story of Xenosaga III starts a year after Xenosaga II ended. Shion has resigned from Vector Industries after learning that the company is deeply connected to the Gnosis phenomenon. She instead joins forces with Scientia, an underground organization working to unveil Vector’s secrets. Uncover the truth and save mankind in the exciting finale of the Xenosaga series as it launches onto store shelves today.

Xenosaga III’s final chapter boasts more than three hours of movies, an updated battle system and an improved customization feature with more in-depth character specialization and diversification.
