Aaron ThomasIt has been a busy week for the PR department over at Electronic Arts. They've just sent word that Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06 has gone gold for the PS2, Xbox, GCN, and PC. It is due hit stores on September 22. The PSP version of the game will be available September 26.
One of the new features of this year's game is the dual analog swing, where both analog sticks are used to give players more control over their shots. A new putting mechanic will also ensure that you don't have any rounds in the 50's this year.
Legends such as Old Tom Morris, Ben Hogan, Arnold Palmer, and Jack Nicklaus are in the game, as well as Sixteen current players, including Tiger Woods, Vijay Singh, Mike Weir, Chris DiMarco, Ian Poulter, and Luke Donald. 12 licensed courses, inlcuding Pasatiempo Golf Club, Pebble Beach Golf Links, Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club, and Reflection Bay Golf Club, are in the game, plus three new fantasy courses including New York’s Central Park.
