Fighting Game Tournament This June

NubyTech has announced The 2005 NubyTech Midwest Championships, which will take place June 24-26 at Nickel City in Northbrook, IL. The longest running annual fighting game tournament in the United States now enters its 12th year, and since the debut of the Midwest Championships in 1994, hundreds of players have attended the tournament from all over the world, including places as far away as Europe.

"We are happy to organize and sponsor such an exciting event for the hardcore fighting game fanatics and give something back to those players that have supported us by purchasing NubyTech’s products over the years," said Paul Chen, President and COO of NubyTech.

The tournament will consist of double elimination tournaments in games such as Super Street Fighter II Turbo, Capcom vs. SNK 2, and Street Fighter III: Third Strike. In addition, Guilty Gear X2 Reload and Tekken 5 tournaments, will take place at the Midwest Championships for the first time.
