Aaron ThomasVivendi Universal Games has announced plans to publish a game based on the upcoming Fox animated film entitled Robots.
The game, which is shockingly also named Robots, is in development by Eurocom Entertainment Software and due for a first quarter of 2005 release alongside the feature film. Robots will put players in the role of hero Rodney Copperbottom, as he attempts to save the Robots’ world from being taken over by an evil tyrant. Character, animation and graphic assets from the movie will be incorporated into the game.
Robots will be released on the PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC platforms. Academy Award winner Chris Wedge (Ice Age) is handling directorial chores on the movie.
