Aaron ThomasElectronic Arts has signed Vancouver Canucks left-winger Markus Naslund to serve as the cover athlete and pitchman for NHL 2005.
The 13th title to emerge from the long-running series is due out for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube and PC platforms this fall. A reworked skating engine will be included, along with a new feature called Open Ice Control, in which players can perform “offensive plays such as Give-and-Go's and breakaway passes or call for a defensive double team with the touch of a button.”
EA Canada is developing the title.
