Ghost of Tsushima is heading to PC and thanks to the whole Helldivers 2 debacle, some are understandably concerned that it will require a PlayStation Network account to play. Turns out fans won’t need to worry about that if they’re just looking to play single player.
Developer Sucker Punch Productions responded to a heated tweet about canceling their pre-order after seeing that it will require linking their Steam profile to PSN. Apparently, the use for this is solely reliant on if you’re going to play its multiplayer Legends mode and the PS overlay.
While the decision was reversed at the last minute, it’s understandable that PC fans are still soured from the experience and while some may pre-order future PlayStation-owned PC releases, it might be a little bit of a struggle.
Thank you for your feedback.
Just so you are aware, A PSN account is required for Legends online multiplayer mode and to use PlayStation overlay. It is not required to play the singleplayer game.
