Bridge Constructor Portal Gets A Physical Release Date

Bridge Constructor Portal

As we previously reportaled on, Bridge Constructor Portal is a fairly unique take on the bridge construction genre. Not only do we have the tried and true physic-based formula that makes this genre of game so damn addicting, we also have GLaDOS. Cause like, why the hell not? Can’t go wrong with GLaDOS… you know, at least until she decides to kill you with toxins, or throw you into a pit of fire, or lie to your face about a cake that may or may not even exist. Yeah, what could possibly go wrong?

You’ll be able to pick up a physical copy of Bridge Constructor Portal on August 28th. That’s next week, in case you don’t know how calendars work. Though be careful, human. Working for Aperture Science isn’t going to be easy. Just because there are 60 test chambers to play through, doesn’t mean you’re going to be paid overtime. In fact, the odds of you being paid at all are pretty damn slim. Hell, I’d even wager that there is a higher chance of you being turned into a potato. Or a cake. Whichever floats your spaaaceship I guess.

You can preorder Bridge Constructor Portal on Amazon.

Physical Release of Bridge Constructor Portal Coming Soon

Bridge Constructor Portal

Earlier this year there was an interesting crossover with the Portal and the Bridge Constructor series. Aptly named Bridge Constructor Portal, the game made for a surprisingly good combination and did pretty well with critics and fans alike.

Just announced today in a press release, you’ll be able to get your hands on a physical pretty soon. Plus it comes a couple extra goodies. For $29.99 you’ll be able to get a physical edition of the game that also includes the first game in the series, Bridge Constructor, and Bridge Constructor Stunts. If you’re into realistic physics and puzzle based gameplay this might be a good time to check it out if you haven’t already.

Bridge Constructor Portal takes the same concept of bridge building series; to get a vehicle from point A to point B. It then takes features from the Portal series. We’re talking lots of lasers, robots, and more importantly, portals. This game has Portal written all over it, including the original voice of GlaDOS.

  • GLaDOS Voice Actor – Ellen McLain, the original voice of GLaDOS, guides players through the tutorial and accompanies them through tricky physics adventures;
  • Portal Gadgets – Iconic components of the original Portal franchise are at players’ disposal to solve complicated tasks, including portals, aerial faith plates, propulsion gel, repulsion gel, and more;
  • Portal Dangers – Designing structures to avoid death traps is critical, requiring players to outmaneuver sentry turrets, emancipation grills, laser fields, and acid;
  • Aperture Science Labs – Players can create complex constructions in the Aperture Science labs, learning all the tips and tricks that make a true Aperture Science employee. The bridge is a lie!

There is no exact release date yet but Bridge Construction Portal will be on store shelves sometime late summer.
