Borderlands 2 Vita Co-Op Sadly Limited To Only 2 Players

Well, you had to assume that some sacrifices would have to be made.

As Sony confirmed over at the PlayStation Blog , the upcoming PlayStation Vita iteration of Borderlands 2 will only support two players during co-op adventuring.

It seems the developers wanted to include four-player co-op but the decision was made late to scrap the idea:

"We checked in with the SCEA Third Party Production team, who confirmed that while they strived to include four-player co-op in the game, they made a decision late in their development cycle to focus on providing the best two-player-only co-op experience possible. As a result, the maximum co-operative player count for Borderlands 2 on PS Vita is capped at two."

Still, there are plenty of benefits to the Vita version: Saves are cross-compatible with the PS3 version of the game, no fewer than six DLC packs are coming packaged with the portable installment, and that online multiplayer – available to all – should still be quite riveting. Borderlands 2 is a helluva great game, after all.

The Borderlands 2 Vita bundle launches in just a few days, on May 6 .

On to the topic at hand, Borderland's 2. I shall not buy this game on the Vita as the superior version, and by FAR superior, is on the ps3, which I already have.

But if you don't have the game I would recommend getting it for the ps3, unless you don't have one.

Kinda defeats the purpose of the game.

Sort of… I played the majority of the game with 2 players and it seemed the most balanced. When a 3rd or 4th was added it got very difficult which is fine, it was still fun. Just seemed a little off balance.
