Dungeon-crawlers are great for the world of portable gaming.
NIS America has announced Demon Gaze , a new title for the PlayStation Vita that boasts a "dungeon RPG progress system" where players move through a series of dungeons to earn better items and equipment. The idea in each level is to draw out the final boss to progress.
The game will feature high-definition character and monster illustrations, customizable party creation (with 90 different character portraits, 5 different races and 8 different classes), and sub-class flexibility via special items. The main character, Oz, wakes up to find himself in a strange land called Misred, a cursed, unexplored area "at the world's western frontier." His memories are hazy and the land is a labyrinth of dungeons and enemies. He also has newfound abilities that qualify him as a legitimate "Demon Gazer."
The title should be tempting for old-school dungeon-crawling aficionados, and we hope it turns out well. Demon Gaze is slated to hit North America and Europe some time next year.

Poor guy and his hazy memories, lol. I'm sure it's fun though.
