Warrior’s Lair, Previously Called Ruin, Canceled For Vita

One of the very first confirmed titles for the PlayStation Vita has officially been canceled.

A Sony representative told IGN that Warrior's Lair , which was originally announced as Ruin , is no longer in development.

It was supposed to be an action/RPG that would support the attractive cross-play feature. Unfortunately, we soon heard rumors of layoffs at co-developer Idol Minds, which was followed by the news that Sony had transferred development to Sony San Diego. That didn't pan out, though, and now the game is no more. We liked the idea of a cool dungeon-crawler coming to the Vita but these days, cross-play isn't anything new. We've seen it before, so maybe the game just wasn't good enough on its own.

And that's too bad because the Vita could really use every ounce of help it can get right now.

Not really, they had a huge sales spike this week in Japan. Vita is only going to get better.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
figures, the one title for the vita which actually looked pretty cool is gone.
should of known it was too good to be true!
gotta love jacks response on monday though when greg miller asked him why there was such a little showing for the vita at E3, and his response was basically we love the vita but the fanbase is just far too small.
in other words weve given up, no one is buying it so were not going to go through the financial risk of creating games for a device people probably wont buy.
exact problem im really worried about for the ps4 and its camera/ move capabilities.
