New hardware can use as many great games as possible.
And that's why we're always on the lookout for promising new PlayStation Vita titles. The latest should be fully unveiled next month, and Andriasang caught an advertisement for the mystery game in Famitsu.
It's called Soul Sacrifice and it should boast a story featuring magicians, evolved combat, and "real fantasy shown in high spec." There's an explanation of what was on display in the magazine, and this includes a strange hooded character whose hand sports a red Z-like mark…we assume it's significant, but we have no idea why just yet. The good news is we won't have much longer to wait for the official info; the source claims the title will be announced on May 10 at an event held in the Tokyo International Forum.
The Vita needs all the help it can get and for a system designed specifically for avid gamers, the best help will come in the form of awesome software. Will Soul Sacrifice fit the bill…?
yeah keep the games rollin out sony!!!
They might want to contact Santana about that name though. And try to avoid a lawsuit over it, like Ubisofts in, lol. Epic song hopefully the game can carry on the name.
Damn, you beat me to the Santana reference. I was going to crack a joke about the title too. Actually that song would make for a great opener. Best Drum solo ever!

I hope it is a new entry into the 'Souls' series.
ANOTHER magic and sword fighting game!?
sigh, come on dont we have enough of these already!?
i swear to god the games industry is becoming WORSE then hollywood!
talk about a two trick pony!
Yes, by all means, don't create a portable entry in one of the most popular and critically acclaimed series of this gemeration. That would be crazy.

right, so just because something is popular it means we should get that over something new?
sigh, this is EXACTLY why every shooter out there is a COD wannabe!
When the game isn't just a rahash of the exact same thing, it's not a bad thing. For example, Dark Souls is a tightened, expanded follow-up to Demons Souls. If this is indeed is another entry in the Demons/Dark Souls line, and From keeps up the tradition of expanding upon the winning formula without giving us the same thing over again, then it strikes me as precisely what the Vita needs–a well-known, popular, critically acclaimed franchise, with new features appropriate for the mobile platform. There's plenty of time for developers to bring in new IPs on the Vita. Right now, bring what people know to it to bolster their faith and support of the platform. A new Souls entry would be perfect for that.
right so IW should bring out MW4 instead of a new IP as long as its better then MW3.
im sick of playing the same game over and over and over and over and over again!
especially in the action adventure and shooter genre!
take out all the games in those 2 genres and we would have 5 games releasing this year!
figure of speech of course, but the point being im sick of seeing only 2 genres out of the so many possible are the only ones being used!
id be nice to see the developers try something different, maybe something like a stealth ninja game or something we dont have 187 thousand clones of!
Dang I really want a Vita. I Thought I had enough then I find out I need a $200 down payment on room and board and college….
