It's always concerning when a potentially high-profile game disappears from the public eye.
There have been rumors concerning the possible cancellation of the cross-platform PS3/Vita title, Warrior's Lair (previously named "Ruin"), but Sony has clarified things over at the European PlayStation Blog .
In response to the idea that the game has been ditched and developer Idol Minds has lost half its team, Sony addressed the first part of that rumor: " Warrior's Lair is still in development; it isn't canceled." However, the Idol Minds rumor may actually be true because Sony wouldn't confirm that the game was still in development at that particular studio. Here's hoping it's still in the works somewhere , and it'll be a worthwhile title to add to our collections when it finally arrives.
If you forget, Warrior's Lair is supposed to be an action-oriented dungeon-crawler of sorts, along the lines of Diablo . It certainly has potential; we miss the good ol' action/RPG top-down adventures.
Oh, I hope that they get this sorted out, this is one of the games I was looking forward to, especially with the cloud based saves and cross platform play.
Same here. I was really looking foward to it.
If this dies I really hope D3 also makes it's way to Vita when it goes on PS3.

Really looking forward to it but I wish they kept the name Ruin, Warriors Lair sounds cheap.
I will make a custom "RUIN" game cover for it. The way it was intended. That title appeals to me more than "Warriors Lair" as well. I wonder whose bright idea it was to change it.
I agree, Ruin sounds better, but something with "Lair" in the title allocates to the main hook of the game. So it makes sense.
It's far more than just a dungeon crawler. This game will allow you to create your own lair that other players will invade ala Demon`s Souls and that invading player will have to progress through your user made lair full of your own traps and enemy protectors. The higher level you are, or the higher the completion rate, the more you can do to your lair.
If the invading player survives the lair, it's time for the unavoidable PVP.
I think this is an innovative concept and something Idle Minds needs to push more instead of leading people to believe it's another generic dungeon crawler.
