Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection Patch 1 Now Live On Consoles

Two weeks after the turbulent launch of the Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection, Aspyr Media has launched Patch 1 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

Patch 1 already went live on PC via Steam last week on March 19 while having to wait for launch on consoles due to their separate certification process. Aspyr’s official support post has now been updated with the following message.

Update I is available now for STAR WARS: Battlefront Classic Collection on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series S | X, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.

The multiplayer experience on dedicated servers has had ample changes behind the scenes, and players should expect a much better experience across all consoles.

Our work on Update II continues, and we’ll provide more information when ready.

Patch 1 on Steam brought various major fixes to the Battlefront Classic Collection that are now live on consoles, including addressing some online multiplayer issues, adding the Invert Y-Axis option, fixing the loading screen sound effect in Star Wars: Battlefront (2004), and fixing numerous visual issues. One change not listed on the patch notes was about the missing outro cutscenes in Star Wars: Battlefront II (2005)’s story campaign. However, it has since been confirmed on Reddit to be restored by Patch 1.
