Absolute Drift: Zen Edition (PS4 – PSN) – August 23
Apparently this game was delayed or something so I’m using the description from last week (and fixing last week’s post). Hopefully it actually comes out this time.
A game about, who would’ve guessed it, drifting with cars. It actually looks like it could be entertaining. It’s visually appealing and seems to hold that “high score” and “I can do better on the next one” mentality to it. It looks like it would be satisfying to pull off some cool tricks. This one really snuck up on me though. But I may be interested. Someday.
Alone With You (PS4, PS Vita – PSN, cross-buy) – August 23
It’s a sci-fi adventure game with some possible romance involved. You’re on a planet trying to escape before the planet implodes. There are your typical adventure game tropes with puzzles and exploration. And there are four other characters that you get involved with in a neat little social aspect that apparently can include romance. It’s a very narrative driven game and has an interesting style. It’s also made by the creator of Home, which was a pretty neat little game.
Armikrog (PS4 – PSN) – August 23
From the creators of Earthworm Jim and Neverhood comes a claymation style point and click adventure game. This game is already out on PC but is coming out on PS4 tomorrow. It looks pretty cool and the claymation style is always pretty neat. If anything this should be pretty humorous.
Big City Stories (PS4 – PSN) – August 23
It’s a free to play city building game. It also has some pretty neat looking social aspects to it that make it lean towards an mmo of sorts. You can play mini games with your friends and whatnot. There are some pretty neat customizations and you can actually go into your city and walk or drive around. Seems interesting and it’s free so why not give it a try.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (PS4 – Retail & PSN) – August 23
Mankind Divided is the newest Dues Ex and it looks good. A combination of cyberpunk, rpg, and stealth. I’ll admit I haven’t played any of the Dues Ex games but judging from what I’ve seen it looks pretty neat. Plus I like his cool glasses in the trailer. What? I’m easy to please, what can I say.
Inside (PS4 – PSN) – August 23
From the creators of Limbo comes Inside. I’m hearing all kinds of good things about this game. One review described the game as having that feeling you get in a nightmare. The feeling of foreboding and uncomfortableness. The PS4 version comes out tomorrow and I’ll probably pick it up this weekend. Apparently the ending a real mind blower.
Madden NFL 17 (PS4, PS3 – Retail & PSN) – August 23
Another Madden game for the masses. I haven’t kept up on these games either and I don’t plan on it. But there are supposed to be some general improvements to the gameplay and newer career mode. Which is good for fans of Madden.
Metrico+ (PS4 – PSN) – August 23
A game about infographics? What? Actually this is an interesting little gem from Vita that’s being redone for the PS4. It has a new facelift and some added story elements. Metrico is a platformer in a world that reacts to your actions. For example when you jump, some obstacle might move up. Basically it’s a platformer that you have to consider the effect of every action you take.
Prominence Poker (PS4 – PSN) – August 23
It’s Poker but better. Influenced by movies such as Ocean’s Eleven and the Global Poker League, Prominence Poker includes a story line and drama that you won’t find in your typical poker game, uh, game. On top of that, there are role playing elements. I was ready to blow this game off but it actually looks kind of cool.
The King of Fighters XIV (PS4 – Retail & PSN) – August 23
The latest in The King of Fighters series. New modes and a move to 3D should shake things up a bit. Even though it’s in 3D, gameplay is still in a 2D style just like the earlier titles. This is yet another boat I missed but I know fans of the series really like the series and I hope this one is just as good if not better.
Worms WMD (PS4 – Retail & PSN) – August 23
The latest rendition of a classic series. It’s got a new paint job, vehicles, and new buildings. Whether you’re a fan of the series or not, it looks like the new elements will give you a good reason to check this one out. It also includes elements from other games like Rocket League and Goat Simulator. Just to shake things up a bit.
Valley (PS4 – PSN) – August 24 Valley is an exploration game of sorts. You have a suit called the L.E.A.F. suit. Which grants abilities such as high running speed and jumping really far. Along with that you have the ability to bring life and/or death to all living things around you. The environment looks pretty awesome as well.
Whew, quite a bit this week. More than anything I’m interested in Inside. I loved Limbo and this one looks really promising. I keep hearing great things about it as well. Valley looks pretty interesting although I’m not entirely won over yet. And I see some city building in my future. Maybe.
Any games coming out this week that look interesting to you?
King of Fighters looks badass. I want Adam's sunglasses.

Do we get to choose one? The cloak is hard to argue with, but the Icarus landing gear would look so bad ass every no matter how many times you use it.
Big City Stories thus far has been a washout. I can't connect to the server and the time I did, I had to download data then the game crashed with about 1% of the download left and I haven't been able to connect since and that was yesterday.
Ya, I was having the same problem. Pfft.
Deus ex and Inside look like fantastic games,i will get them both….later…when they are cheap [now playing fallout 4,then i'l buy uncharted 4 for about 30 bucks oh yeah]
