88 Heroes (PS4 – PSN) – August 8
88 Heroes is a 2D platformer that involves a lot of 8’s. 88 heroes with 88 levels that has to be done in 88 minutes. Actually I’ll just let them do the talking on this one. “88 Heroes is a chaotic 2D platformer where each level completed or untimely death brings a new hero into the action! With just 88 minutes to complete all 88 rooms you'll need every one of the 88 Heroes to stop Dr. H8 destroying the Earth!”
Blade Ballet (PS4 – PSN) – August 9
Blade Ballet is a robotic multiplayer game which involves spinning around with your blades to take out your foes. The video showcases some interesting level designs and considering this game came out of nowhere, it looks kinda fun.
Brut@l (PS4 – PSN) – August 9
Brut@l is a dungeon crawler that has the aesthetic of an old ascii game. It seems like a mix between Tron and Diablo with some rogue like elements to it. I’m not totally won over on the graphics at this point but it does have co op multiplayer so that’s a plus. Gameplay is pretty straightforward and apparently there are all kinds of loot to get and monsters to fight. If you can see what’s going on.
Emily Wants to Play (PS4 – PSN) – August 9 Emily Wants to Play puts in the place of a pizza delivery guy who delivered to the wrong house. As soon as you walk in the front door closes behind you and your trapped in a house full of murderous dolls. Sounds like pretty cliché horror but who knows, it could be pretty good.
Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy (PS4 – PSN) – August 9
Acclaimed company Quantic Dreams is releasing an updated version of their PS2 game Indigo Prophecy. It includes updated, 1080p, graphics and only costs $15. I remember playing a demo of this game but I never did get around to playing it. Looks like it might be a good time to get into it.
No Man’s Sky (PS4 – Retail & PSN) – August 9
One of the biggest games we’ve been waiting for this month. At least I have been. It’s time to see if No Man’s Sky lives up to its expectations. Travel the universe and explore planets in this ambitious new game. Here’s hoping it’s as awesome as it seems.
OlliOlli Epic Combo Edition (PS4 – Retail) – August 9
This collector’s edition includes both games, some behind the scenes material, as well as a soundtrack for OlliOlli 2. All in a nice retail package. I played a demo of the first one but never got into it. But other people may get into pulling off sick tricks and making mad scores. Ahem. Anyways, it looks pretty cool and comes altogether so maybe it could be a good time to check out the series.
It looks like a pretty good week for some unique games but I'm afraid my week is probably going to be taken up by No Man's Sky. How about you? Any games you're looking forward to this week? Did I miss any?
A wild article outta nowhere??!!
I've actually compiled a list for myself and or close people to verify. To stop myself from buying unnecessary games. These are must haves before all else:
Kingdom Hearts III
The Last Guardian
Persona 5
Final Fantasy XV // or at least World of FF
Gran Turismo Sport
BlazBlue: Central Fiction
Guilt Gear Xrd: Revelator somewhere in there?????
No Man's Sky for me.
Nothing there for me.
My list of unreleased games for the rest of 2016 looks like..
Destiny Rise of Iron
Titanfall 2
Rise of the Tomb Raider

No Mans Sky. Disappointed to hear about the odds of running into someone but there's always hope!
Nice way to give a shout out to the lesser known indi titles.
I pre-ordered my NMS on Steam. What a fool I was to think that I would have it on Tuesday.

NMS is a wait and see for me, I can' imagine it being worth the full price. I'll wait on a flash sale this holidays I reckon. *Force moves No Man's Sky against the wall with hand* I still plan to go boldly and stupidly into VR and Tomb Raider. I think it's a on a knife's edge, right now it's another toy peripheral but with the right sauce it can be a part of the regular experience for big stuff. I wanna be in that house in Resident Evil.
Sherlock DD turned out to be a rowe of fun for my birthday.
I hope that this upcoming Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy is going to be based on the original European Pal "Fahrenheit" version, & not the somewhat watered-down North American version done later, as "Indigo Prophecy".
I own the I.P. version but actually wanted to play the stronger & more detailed "Fahrenheit" version, but never could since the European Pal versions won't play on our North American "region 1" machines.
The only other game on this list that I'm interested in is "No Man's Sky" but it will have to wait till sometime next year & only after a huge price drop due to not having much extra cash the rest of the year.
BTW, recently picked up an older 2007 PS3 RPG game, "Rise of the Argonaut"s for only $2.69, & although some of the graphics are a bit underwhelming, I'm having a blast with this game.
I'm at the end now and am about to fight the final boss, King Jason's evil uncle, Palis(sp?).

yeah i gotta price drop on Sky too, thanks for the info on Argonauts.
Was mighty tempted on NMS just before launch but I think I'm going to wait for a lower price as well. Still playing PS3 as well – Rise sounds like a game I could get into.
