I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a big fan of MOBA games. I've tried them. I've played a bit of League of Legends and I have played some of Blizzards MOBA Heroes of the Storm . Don't get me wrong. I can see the appeal and I think they are pretty awesome games. I just find myself not wanting to put the time and effort into getting better at these types of games.
Paragon on the other hand has kind of caught my interest. It's considered a MOBA but it's in a bit of a different format. It's in third person, similar to Dungeon Defenders. And stylistically it really caught my eye. It looks like some of the abilities of the heroes are pretty impressive. Just watch the video below and you'll see what I mean.
The Playstation Blog posted an article on their blog that has a great overview of the heroes and how it's a MOBA, but not exactly. If you go to the official Paragon website you can sign up for the beta, which starts this summer for PS4.
I'm definitely intrigued and I've already signed up for the beta. I'll see if this has a steep learning curve that most other games in this genre are known for. What do you guys think?
The hells a MOBA?
Multiplayer Online Battle Arena
oh, we called those couch games in my day.
Or a multitap game.
Looks interesting. A nice change for me from Dota2, which I'm already tired of after hundrets of hours.
