Ben-DutkaIf you're a fan of the well-received inFamous franchise, you're probably pining for news of a sequel.
But will developer Sucker Punch oblige? We haven't heard much from the team and Sony hasn't said anything about a new installment.
Even so, PlayStation boss Scott Rohde told Kinda Funny Games that inFamous hasn't been retired. In fact:
"We're never going to retire an IP. We're always going to be open to [making more Infamous games]. That's about the best way I can answer that."
The last series title was inFamous: Second Son , which was a great game in our estimation, and that was followed by a solid standalone expansion effort called inFamous: First Light . And while Rohde wouldn't say what Sucker Punch is working on, he did confirm that their new game is playable internally; it seems he and executive Shuhei Yoshida saw an early version of the project. His only comment on it is that it's "fun."
That's all we know for now but it's enough. Maybe it'll be unveiled some time early next year.

Maybe, but it'd have to be very different. We are oversaturated with these sandbox open world games now. At least inFamous has a name and brand, albeit a limited one.

They have been making really great fun games since the ps2 era,I will get whatever game their working on.I would love a infamous sequel where you get to play as Fetch and Delsin kid or something like that.
Bring back Cole and the original voice actor or no deal.
Unless he comes back as a zombie with powers I don't think it would make much sense.The change of voice between the first and second game was pretty stupid though.

I will pass. Infamous died after Infamous 2 when Cole died. Just saying. Second son wasn't anything special.
But if they can make another game that's as good as Infamous 1/2 were during their time then I would be on board.
A lot of comic heroes died… only for it to be less than permanent. Just sayin.

I'd love Cole back, but I'd settle for ANYBODY BUT DELSIN.
Also a new game after they finish whatever they are doing now it'd be great to see inFamous return to its roots as a parkour, cover shooter with increasing multiplying powers. Second Son got rid of all that in favor of fast and furious. Which made it less fun to me.

Pretty much. Nice looking game but it lacked the charm of the older titles.
whats wrong with Delsin?he was identical to new Dante and you liked him,you could literally switch them around and they would blend in perfectly in each others game.
Sorry Hexen but their personalities are diametrically opposed. Delsy didn't have any backstory or allegiance or personal thoughts worth mentioning. Somebody hurt his grandma and his tribe is important. Okay, where's the rest of the reason he's the hero? Cole was the everyman who was singled out by history, or rather, the future, to usher in a new age despite himself.
Delsin didn't commit to either his good side or evil side as you played. He stayed very gray and naive. Especially in inFamous 2 Cole went full bore with what you chose and the characters you went with to do that.
I understand that people were getting fed up with grizzled Batman voiced main characters when Cole first showed up, which prompted changes that ultimately worked out. Behind all that, in any case, he went through real relationship issues with his compatriots when he gained his powers.
Delsin didn't even make a decent punk other than having a good smirk. His brother was supposed to kind of set up a foil but after 2 seconds of convincing Delsin always had him on his side.
He won't be remembered in the Sony hero pantheon. Cole will get at least a C-list status.

fair enough,I admit I was really into the video and neon powers to the point of not noticing any flaws with the rest of the game.What did you think of fetch and first light?
I love Fetch! Though I haven't played more than 20 minutes of first light. Not cuz I don't want to but I just got distracted and never got back to it.
May his words become a conduit to another really electrifying inFamous game
