Rockstar has announced a double RP/double cash weekend; you'll earn double the rewards for completing jobs in GTAO between January 2 and January 5.
This event will also come with a Featured Playlist based on a bunch of modes available in GTAO, including Deathmatch, Capture, Last Team Standing, and Race. These "carefully curated" lists feature First Base, On the GOH, Fridgit Factory LTS, and GTA: Grass is Greener on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. PS3 and Xbox 360 players will get Hit the Apex, Vespucci Shoreline, Paleto Bay, and Contend: Townhall Trinity.
Here's your chance to make some serious progress in GTAO; you just gotta put in the necessary time. And don't forget that the oft-requested, long-awaited Heists should go online early this year.

I might jump in then. I have yet to take GTAV online. With Destiny, my clan still latching on to AW, TLoU, Fifa 15 (which is excellent by the way) and all the single player games I got for Xmas, I might decide to pass on it completely to start my backlog.
Don't worry you'll spend more time at loading screens than playing. Unless you're invested in it, it's just a frustration and time wasting experience.
Backlog it is then. Really need to start Alien Isolation anyway.
