Bloodborne Gets New Trailer, Japanese Release Date

It could be one of the first PlayStation 4 exclusives that makes everyone go, "wow, this is my idea of 'next-gen'!"

Now, we've got a solidified date for From Software's highly anticipated Bloodborne . After a great new trailer shown off during Sony's pre-TGS event, the Japanese date was revealed: February 5, 2015.

You can expect a Western release not long after; for the record, GameStop and other retailers still have a March 31 date, although that's likely a placeholder. As for the trailer, you can check that out below. This is a very dark game and if you've got the gumption, you'll want to explore every exceedingly dangerous nook and cranny. Those who are fans of the developer's Demon's Souls and Dark Souls titles are especially intrigued, I'm sure.

I'm very excited for this game. I knew Miyazaki was working on something but I couldn't have been more surprised that we would be getting it this soon.

Although I am a little concerned because he said the next game he made he wanted it to be challenging but have a lighter tone than demon and dark souls……I feel like this game is even darker than those two games hahah.

I want dark as dark hell but not impossible for sane people to play.

You realise he has a history of trolling right!? XD It was obviously a joke to make fans freak out.

I didn't know he had a history of trolling lol!

I dont know I like the difficulty of his games but I really was hoping that he could make a game with a lighter colour palette that had the same challenge I love.

Either way this game looks stellar.

Nah, Bloodborne is going to suck <_<

I'm totally buying it off of japanese PSN if it releases later in the US. I will run around not being able to read anything. Also, thank you for not comparing it to Darksiders or God Of War Ben.

That's a big block of nothing.

I wish I could try it to see if it is playable unlike Demon's Souls. Buying it with this cloud of difficulty over it isn't an option.

Hmm, never played DS/DS2. It looks awsome, might try that at some point, but not a priority. I like the dark setting, hope the story will be good also.

Looking forward to this. Moving location with work around then so it should help me settle in to the new place quite nicely!

Can't wait for this and I hope it absolutely is as difficult as Demon's/Dark Souls.

There's plenty of other games out there for people who don't like the challenge, let this series (Yeh I get that Bloodborne isn't 'part' of the series)be the one that's made for the people who don't want to be handheld all the way from start to finish.

No disrespect to anyone not into the Souls games because of the difficulty, but this game just might not be made with you in mind. And that's ok. 2015 will be packed full of great games so feel free to give this one a pass.

Miyazaki already confirmed it will be as challenging if not more challenging than Demon's Souls.

Demon Souls and Dark Souls were simply too difficult for me to play. I do not have the time to invest to play those arduous titles. Kudos for those who do. I am hoping that Bloodborne will be somewhat "easier" to play and explore. Furthermore, I hope there is a more linear story as well.

Holy crap! The art design in this game is amazing! That's something I don't see everyday in the gaming realm. His… Weapon is pretty sick, too. Has that obnoxious size/girth/weight by visually imagining it in real life. It extends… And extends… And extends!

I'm in love with this game, yet don't really know what's going on! Ahhhhh!

i hope this has lowered down the cheapness of the souls series.
really love the look of this, and it looks much darker and sinister than the souls games, has me written all over it.
i just hope they dont go and spoil it by making it cheap as f*ck!
please include a difficulty for us normal humans, us people who do not enjoy slowly pulling out a splinter one micro millimeter at a time keeping us in agony pain for hours!
games are suppose to be fun, not *&^%$##@$%^&*( BANG CRASH THERE GOES YOUR 5000 DOLLAR BRAND NEW TV!

Then play one of the dozens and dozens of other games that holds your hand.

These games are for people who like a challenge, and I would like to go out on a limb and say they are not that hard. You just need patience that's really all it is.

Nothing in Demons Souls or Dark souls 1 and 2 were cheap, and if things proved to challenging just co op and make the game stupid easy…

What people like you fail to realize is that when you say games are supposed to be fun you are defining fun based on your interpretation of it.

I don't find easy games fun, I find fun in a challenge and trying to figure out how to over come the obstacle.

Much like how I enjoy doing the same thing in real life.

I will repeat if you want an easy game just pick on of the other games on the market. If you want an easy game with this games atmosphere awesome art direction and soundtrack well too bad 🙂
