And based on everything we've seen and heard so far, it seems Far Cry 4 could be the best installment yet.
The latest entry in the award-winning franchise will drop in mid-November and shooter fans everywhere are plenty excited. If you want to be even more excited, check out ten fantastic gameplay minutes, courtesy of VG24/7. Here you get to check out the lush scenery, a few cool weapons, the use of elephants, and various stealth segments. The game appears to run beautifully and the freedom and options are already mind-boggling.

24 Seconds in cracked a smile out of me. I loved Far Cry 3 and expect even better gameplay in 4. You can cut the brakes now!

Oh gawd yes! Michael Biehn needs to do more voice work.
I couldn't even finish the demo of Blood Dragon because it was seriously corny and boring. Far Cry 3 on the other hand sucked me in.

When were you born? As a child of the 80s I found Blood Dragon hilarious and really entertaining.
1988 and that's probably why I don't find it as entertaining as you do.

I hate it when games have you tag enemies which then you can see through walls. I mean, almost every single FPS is doing it now. Even Call Of Duty. Do games seriously have to guide you by the di*k nowadays?
Even Call of Duty? Shouldn't that be universally understood without mentioning it? That series is the Mountain Dew of videogames. All FPS are just acting as filler before the god of all FPS (Half-Life) makes its return.

Certainly not, the original is available for the PS2. The sequel is available for the 360 and PS3.

Regarding this game of the year contenders… it's looking really thin in comparison to last year. I could easily name 10 titles worth of last years GotY. The only two games I have bought are FFX/X-2 HD which doesn't count & MGS5: Ground Zeroes, while I am a huge Metal Gear fan, even I would feel weird naming GZ GotY 😛
FarCry 4 does look decent, I have only played 2 and I never got into it myself, but I hear 3 was much better.
i just hope the animal hunting to create much needed gear, and stealth mechanics are back.
it was so awesome flicking the stick up to stab enemy after enemy after enemy after enemy after enemy, than finishing it off with hurling your knife into one last enemies skull.

the shark and crock tassels were cool too, shat myself so many times walking through a lake lackadaisically then suddenly i get a muncher on my leg.
Assuming it doesn't get delayed, I think this is the front runner for Game of the Year. Destiny might have a chance as well.
Far Cry 3 was great. It was one of those games that really did a lot of what we all wanted. Still wanted to punch the main characters in the face, but still a great game.
As of now I don't plan on picking up the fourth installment. Everything looks entertaining as hell until we have the 360, PS3 logos tacked on at the end. Can we fully move onto the current gen already? Wonder how much more they could have done with only the X1 and PS4. As is multiplat wasn't enough now we have a clinging multi-plat-gen trend. I thought we would be done with that after a year.
