Beyond Good & Evil 2 has supposedly been in the works for a while; fans of the original remember the sequel's pseudo-unveiling in 2009. Unfortunately, since then, we haven't heard much.
Now, the franchise's creator, Michel Ancel, has delivered a big surprise: During a livestream with Ancel and the Rayman Legends development team, a viewer asked about the status of BG&E 2. At that point, they busted out some new concept art of Jade, the game's protagonist. The new-look Jade isn't quite as vibrant but she does have a slicker, more modern appeal.
The long-anticipated sequel is coming to next-gen consoles and PC and even though we don't have a solidified release date, this revealed concept art is a good sign, right?

Maybe they plan to turn this one into a dark fantasy instead?
Holy crap, something's actually happening on this front? They should totes bundle the remaster of the original with this when they release it….
Well… that was beyond unprofessional… I feel sorry for the artist who put the time and effort into the design.

LOL, good old michel always having fun no matter what the cost.
i wish we saw allot more studios like his though, i mean them at the end singing the lums tune with the surfboard, that is exactly why the game has so much energy and fantastic music, because the developers themselves have that.
all the boring stern developers need to take a shell out of this book!
nice to see BG&E2 is finally going somewhere, though a concept art poster is hardly a game reveal at least we have something to see on it.
i just hope michel does not walk away from rayman, it took far too long a vacation, and i really dont want to see that happen again.
i mean how often do we get such fun happy energetic musically amazing in depth 2D platformers like rayman ledgends?
