What will Sony show off at this year's E3?
The company hasn't released a list just yet, but the fans are hoping to see some seriously big titles. NeoGAF user DemonNite , who is also a developer at Sony, said there will be plenty of heavy hitters.
However, when specifically asked about Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III , he said it would be a "tight fit" so it's difficult to say if those games will make an appearance. Shooters like Destiny , Planetside 2 and the new Call of Duty and Battlefield installments aren't out of the realm of possibility, but overall:
"…there should be a decent mix of other genres."
Sony really needs to come with the games, especially the exclusive software for the PlayStation 4. It would help if they could show off some exclusive Vita titles, too. The bottom line is that the PlayStation brand is synonymous with games , and they need to continue to prove that.
I think Sony will just show off more details of the announced games. I doubt anything will be new.
I think Sony had given up on the Vita. They are relying on the Indies to keep Vita alive.
Well, the indies are the only one willing to make stuff for it, so it's not like they got much of an alternative.
The Vita was dead on arrival, sadly.
Vita outsold 3DS in Japan last week.
Vita has already proven that it will have a future in Japan.
It certainly helps that Japan is mostly a mobile/handheld market.
Outside of Japan things are still a bit sketchy, though.
The whispers around the net is that EA have become very Microsoft friendly this generation, basically they wanted to cuddle up with the manufacturer which was going to win, and they thought it was going to be MS (as did many other industry professionals before the console launches), now that the PS4 is killing it, EA are feeling the pain. Activision are becoming more Sony friendly now, as evident by the Destiny deal. You could see more deals between Activision and Sony, POSSIBLY see a COD reveal or event during Sony's E3 conference. Seems much more likely then a Battlefield event.
I REAAALLY want to be blown away by Sony at this years E3, since last years wasn't great. But I don't have high hopes.
My prediction for Sony's E3 conference:
– The Last of Us PS4 edition
– The Order: 1886
– Infamous SS DLC
– Resogun DLC
– A bunch of new indie announcements
– Driveclub release date
– Probably some Watch Dogs trailer
– new Destiny gameplay footage and a Beta date
– COD gameplay reveal and/or some Sony exclusive agreement
My E3 wishlist:
– FFXV release date
– New Kingdom Hearts 3 footage
– The Order: 1886 release date
– New first party IP
– New first party games

That list looks like a possibility. Do you know something that we don't? 😉
Ahahaha. Well a lot of those things have been hinted at already. Also Sony tends to show footage of one of the recent big game releases, and Watch Dogs is the only thing I could think of. I could imagine a "Get the best Watch Dogs experience only on Playstation" type of trailer.
Although I would love me some Resogun/inFamous DLC and new info on The Order.
One thing we WON'T see at E3 is The Last Guardian. ahahaha. Maybe TGS?
Akuma, That list of yours seems very plausible and I would be completely happy if that's what it was. In fact, it pretty much mirrors my thoughts (and hopes) as well. 🙂

Only thing that seems off is Watch Dogs trailer. The game's comes out two weeks before E3, and I don't think Sony are so far behind it as to be pushing it when Ubisoft can do the job at their own conference. It's not like TLoU last year, which came out in the midst of E3.
It has to impress, and you aren't going to do that with the same old "heavy hitters" like Cod and Battlefield.
They need to pretend FFXV and KHIII are exclusive, give us an updates on The Order, Agent, and Last Guardian. Need Uncharted 4 footage. Need something God of War-like so fans know the franchise is gonna continue.
You won't see the Last Guardian 😉
UC4 is possible, but I think unlikely. You will see The Last of US PS4, but maybe they will have a "but wait, there's more" moment after that announcement with some short UC4 footage. Followed by a full reveal later in the year.
After Slegdehammer's tough talk about the new COD, all FPS fans eyes are on the new game, and what they will do with the extra time, also how they will respond to Titanfall. Could be a good thing to include to get people to watch it?

I'm sure they will show a little bit of everything. I am more interested in the new gen games.
I hope we get to know more about the new Star Wars Battlefront game that's in the works. I really loved the previous two. I'm sure it is still a long ways off.
If Bioware announces a new Kotor RPG I will probably go nuts. I really miss games like those.
A GT7 reveal would be great too.
Most likely will be about Drive CLub, The Order, Wolfenstein, lots and lots of indies and PS NOW and a future firmware update with multimedia features, external storage support and backwards compatibility with PS2 games.
Well I kind of want a new firmware update BEFORE E3. Since the Xbox One is getting them every month and all…..
But yeah, some sort of cool major Firmware update announcement could be nice.
I'm more interested in hearing what new Bethesda, BioWare, Ubisoft, Crytek & co has going on than Sony. I hope they all got some new IPs to show (hey, one can dream!). Especially BioWare. Hell even just a few words about the new Mass Effect would make me scream like a schoolgirl.
But back to Sony, I would guess they might have a demo of the VR glasses? Or is that too early?
of course they SHOULD, they DO have the largest first party studio lineup in the whole industry!
but they never do, so im not holding my breath.
every year E3 gets hyped up so much its not funny, and every single year its a freaking disaster!
i just hope they actually announce some new games, and give new details hopefully in live gameplay form for pre existing announced games.
not like last year where the bulk was cock waving, statistic cock waving, and the occasional vague as hell no this is not our next game tech demo.
would be nice to see more on their VR device, but strictly game announcements.
i doubt that though its kinda pointless announcing games for a device in that audience theater mode when, well, only one person can be wearing the dam device!
its going to add a whole new interesting layer, how to market VR games.
it really is a you have to try it for yourself experience.
yup bring those nice shiny sony games and some of those nice multi plats and we'll be happy i think
happy gaming =)
My predictions:
Major gameplay reveal of Uncharted 4 & announcement of PS4 port of TLoU.
#Driveclub release date, if it hasn't been announced prior. DLC for iF:SS. The rumoured JRPG for Vita
Major gameplay trailer for The Order.
One notable third-party exclusive.
Hopefully they push Drakengard a bit, but I don't think that'll happen. Sizzle reel of third party games coming to PS4, including Destiny, CoD, AC: Unity.
I just get the feeling that it's not going to be a megaton year. We'll get a lot of small reveals, but nothing that will blow us away, as I just don't think Sony are ready for that just yet with the PS4. Maybe Gamescom…
I think they are going to show something on uncharted 4 as well as some exclusive content for the division.
I have a theory — not really researched or anything, just a hypothesis at the moment — that Sony is purposefully making fewer first gen games this year, and making them quite distinct from third party offerings, to:
a) reduce their own internal develop costs, which clearly had skyrocketed beyond sustainable levels (see: all the layoffs, high profile dev departures, etc.)
b) foster a very, very friendly environment for third party games so they don't face much in the way of competition and thus ensure PS4 remains the developers' preferred console (see: the supposed cancellation of Sony Santa Monica's "other" project because it was a lot like Destiny.)
c)position their offerings as "and" games that are genuinely unique and can't be found anywhere else, and they avoid risking the appearance of "poaching" third party sales in the process. (see: The Order, Uncharted 4, Infamous, etc., games that might fit into certain genres but are quite distinct.)
I dunno, just a theory.
It's an interesting theory. I think at the very least this indicates that they've acknowledged the role 3rd party devs play on the gaming scene today.
nothing "new" will be shown. everything we have already seen and heard will be reiterated and/or become officially announced. maybe a few new screenshots at the most for some games. mark my words.
I think Sony will win E3 like last years, as the interesting "exclusives" Microsoft will have will be timed exclusives after all and the games will release 1 or 2 years later on PS4.
I bet on 2 huge exclusives, maybe 3
