Rocksteady Highlights The Impressive Detail In Arkham Knight

The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One gives developers more opportunity to expand upon their visions.

And that's precisely what developer Rocksteady Studios seeks to do with their latest project, the recently announced Batman: Arkham Knight for next-gen consoles. As noted by Examiner , producer Dax Ginn spoke about how his team is embracing the power of these new systems:

"The main thing we wanted to do, with Rocksteady being a visual studio at our hearts, was use the power of next-gen hardware to really deliver an amazing graphical experience that wouldn’t have been possible on previous generations.

You saw the amount of detail we’ve built into Gotham also the destruction of the Batmobile driving into the corners of buildings, smashing through and really giving gamers the feeling of taking control of this legendary vehicle and smashing it through the city like a wrecking ball."

A more destructible Gotham City is on the way, and it'll be bigger than you might anticipate. That extra power allows designers to expand and grow; they can give us virtual worlds that are more dynamic and realistic than ever before. It's pretty exciting, especially if you're a fan of the Caped Crusader. It's all the more exciting because Rocksteady is back at the helm where they belong; last year's Origins just wasn't at the same level in terms of polish, you know?

We'll hear more about Batman: Arkham Knight soon, I'm sure.

I'm so exited for this game. Loved the other two. It's my highlight game of 2014.

Day 1 for sure. Well, there is not that much coming in 2014 that's worthwhile.

At this point I feel like I'm the only one who didn't think AO was that bad. Sure WBM f*cked it up with the multiplayer, and the whole game was just recycled assets, but other than that the game is fine. It may not have been at the same level as Rocksteadys' but looking at it as what it is, A Batman game NOT developed by Rocksteady. It ain't half bad.

love the pic they put up of the new dark knight yesterday it looks so futuristic yet really menacing.
really looking forward to this i just hope they get rid of the seriously f*cking annoying magical AI of city, and bring back the awesome funny cat and mouse gameplay you could play with everyone.
nothings more fun than sitting on a gargoyle and batwranging a enemy, than seeing everyone run to his aid and spin around sh*tting their pants looking for me.
