Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League Map Twice The Size Of Arkham Knight

Suicide Squad

Since getting slapped with a delay earlier this year, Rocksteady Games has held its tongue about anything to do with Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, but it sounds like it’s going to be a sizable map. The game was originally set to launch in 2022 before moving to May 2023 before finally settling on its current release on February 2, 2024.

A Reddit leak popped up alleging that a “not final” trailer was shown at a recent trade show. This alleged trailer mentioned some nifty details, such as Metropololis being twice the size of Gotham City in Arkham Knight, real-time day/night cycles, and real-time weather cycles.

Considering the absolute trash Rocksteady got for its flawed gameplay showcase, it also sounds like only Deadshot will focus on gunplay while the rest are proficient in melee. It’s not clear if the always-online requirement has been axed or not.

What do you think? Are you excited about what Rocksteady’s been cooking? What do you hope changed since we last saw it? Let us know below!

PS Plus Free Games for September: Apocalyptic Horsemen and The Dark Knight

Playstation Plus

Where did August go? That’s okay though, next month is bringing some pretty big players for PlayStation Plus members. Batman: Arkham Knight and Darksiders III are the PS Plus free games for next month. These are both fairly recent and are pretty heavy hitters for being free. So if you haven’t played these already, this is an excellent time to do just that.

Batman: Arkham Knight

The most recent game in the Arkham series (released in 2015), Arkham Knight puts you smack dab in the middle of the big city. You’ll be facing some of most well known Batman villains in the series as well as a new foe in the Arkham Knight. The noteworthy new mechanic in this one is the batmobile, which gives you a new way to play.

Darksiders III

This series has been around for awhile and the whole story is slowly unfurling itself. Darksiders III (released just last year, 2018) is the latest entry and has you playing as the third Horseman (Horsewoman?) of the Apocalypse, Fury. Very action oriented with her hack and slash fighting style. But don’t let it fool you, there is a challenge to be had. You’ll be tasked with taking out the Seven Deadly Sins.

These both will be available starting on September 3rd so you still have some time to grab August’s free games.

What do you think of these two games? Are you excited for either of them?

Warner Bros: Infinite Possibilities For More Batman Games

Developer Rocksteady Studios delivered this year's excellent Batman: Arkham Knight , but will it be their final Caped Crusader effort? We think they could try new things .

But either way, publisher Warner Bros. wants everyone to understand that Batman still has a bright future in video games.

Gaming boss Ames Kirshen tells the PlayStation Blog that the IP is "one of the cornerstones for Warner Bros." and the Arkham series finally allowed them to "realize the full potentail of the character." Kirshen added:

"We don't have anything to talk about at this time [regarding future Batman games], but the possibilities are endless with a character as dynamic and beloved as Batman."

Warner Bros. could tap one of their internal studios, like NetherRealm ( Mortal Kombat , Injustice: Gods Among Us ) or TT Games ( LEGO Batman ) if they wish. But the point is, we will once again see Batman…even if it might be a very different production than anything we've seen in the stellar Arkham series. For better or for worse, we don't know…

Arkham Knight DLC Will Also Include The Iconic Tumbler

We know the new DLC for Batman: Arkham Knight will feature the classic Batmobile from the 1989 film.

But there's more; a new video released by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment teases the 1989 Batman Movie Pack and ends by giving us a peek at the Tumbler.

The Tumbler was the car used in Christopher Nolan's "Dark Knight" trilogy, so it should be easily recognizable to most. Unfortunately, as neither the publisher nor the developer has officially announced this vehicle, we have no specific details. Will it turn into the Batpod…? At any rate, it's a very cool addition but be warned: This teaser actually contains some MODERATE SPOILERS , so don't watch it if you're a stickler for such things.

The new DLC pack also boasts the suit worn by Michael Keaton in the 1989 movie and two new racetracks inspired by "Batman Returns."

PSXE Poll Update: New Batman Is Great, But Not GotY

Batman: Arkham Knight is one of the most impressive games of 2015 so far.

We asked our readers just how impressive Rocksteady's latest gem really is, and the majority said they think it's a great game, just not Game of the Year-caliber.

The game has received mostly glowing reviews across the board, although it hasn't quite reached the level of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt , another seemingly definite nominee for GotY this year. Some people found the Batmobile to be overused in Arkham Knight while others felt the story sort of fell apart at the end, but for the most part, it's a widely beloved title.

This week, the FPS battle for fall is clear: It's Call of Duty: Black Ops III vs. Star Wars: Battlefront . Which is your horse? Gonna snag both? Or is the answer an indifferent "neither"?

Arkham Knight DLC Trailer Shows Off Batgirl’s Prowess

If you're nearing the end of Batman: Arkham Knight , you can always spring for the downloadable content.

Warner Bros. has released a full trailer for the first expansion, A Matter of Family, which features Batgirl.

This DLC will launch on July 14 and players will be able to assume the role of Batgirl for the very first time in the Arkham series. In an interesting twist, this expansion is set at a time prior to the events of the first game, Batman: Arkham Asylum . As for gameplay, Batgirl is faster than Batman and she has different gadgets as well, and her goal is to free her father, Commissioner Gordon, who has been kidnapped by the Joker. Robin helps out, too.

This DLC is available as part of the $40 Season Pass but you can also purchase it separately starting July 21 for $7.
