The once PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 console exclusive Kena: Bridge of Spirits is apparently looking to arrive on a new platform sometime in the future.
As reported by Push Square (thanks, Xbox Nerds), Kena: Bridge of Spirits has received a new ESRB rating for the Xbox platform, more specifically, the Xbox Series X/S. Kena may be only coming to Microsoft’s current gen console since the new ESRB rating does not list a port for Xbox One either. Kena on Xbox Series consoles has not been given an approximate release window as well, so it isn’t quite a guarantee that the Xbox Series port could arrive later this year.
On the other hand, the Xbox Series port may have already been a few years coming. Video Games Chronicle recalls an interview with the Kena developer’s co-founder and COO Josh Grier that his studio kept the possibility open to bring Kena to other platforms beyond PlayStation and PC.
Ember Lab’s indie title was released almost three years ago on September 2021 for PS4, PS5, and on PC via Epic Games Store being ported to Steam in 2022 to coincide with the game’s one year anniversary.
