Time to make all the RPG fans outside of Japan jealous. Again.
What you see here – and you can find more drool-worthy screenshots at Andriasang – is the beautiful Final Fantasy Type-0 Collectors Edition. It's a full fanservice package sold exclusively through the Square Enix e-Store; it costs ¥12,760 and features a 24-card postcard book with an 8-page character introduction, the first print version of the game's 3-disc soundtrack CD, and a special collectible box. If you don't want to spring for this bundle, you can still pick up the postcard set and soundtrack separately.
We'll be interested to see how the game turns out, and we hold no illusions concerning the localization of this Collectors set. That just won't happen. But maybe we'll get a special package of a different kind…

This is.. kinda pretty 😛 I'm surprised you haven't written an article about the FF13-3 domain name yet Ben.

really?? I hope your seriously kidding…
He's not kidding.. =P
Unfortunately I'm not
…… So we are going to like FF XIII and it's world according to SE whether we like it or not.
Stabs88,
Yes, on Sept 7 according to Whois Domain Names, the name FF13-3 had just been bought.
http://whois.domaintools.com/finalfantasyxiii-3.com
Gosh I even enjoyed FFXIII but enough is enough! The jopy of FF was that each title would be different, nerw world, chartacters, fresh gameplay mechanics and also include FF traits us fans adore. Bring us FFXV already.
I know about it; it just doesn't mean anything. Companies have been known to buy domain names multiple sequel names that don't exist, just to ensure nobody steals a very similar name.
I really hope you're right Ben..
I honestly hope Ben is right about this one as well. FFXIII-3? It sounds like Square Enix's Wada Yoichi has a thing for BOBBY KOTICK. Must be in the official fanclub I bet.
First it was about pumping remake after remake, now it's going to be sequel after sequel.
How about they TRY AND WORK AND FIRST COMPLETE A REAL GAME ANNOUNCED WAY BACK. DOES the guy even remember it?! Something called Final Fantasy Versus XIII?!
If…FFXIII-3 is real…and it does come out before VERSUS. I've completely given up on Square Enix…for good.
Of course Im jealous japan Always gets the best of everything!
@bebestorm
yes, japan does get the cool stuff. i've always loved everything about their culture(especially all the cute japanese school girls dressed in skirts)…j/k kind of :). i always thought it was cool how they treated their game designers like rock stars.
i also heard they are getting boxed release for the re remakes, but sadly na does not.
@riku
ff13-3 huh? i could see square doing that if ff13-2 is considered a success. they need the cash infusion.
ff13-3 cash grab????
My wallet said pass!!
Type 0 looks like a real FF to me. (Gets urge to replay Crisis Core)
Try saying that after playing it… I really was not impressed, If people start call this a 'real' FF game and deny Final Fantasy XIII, I may just have a stroke.
Type-0 is more like Persona than FF, If it was called persona 5, I would not be able to tell the difference…
@Worlds:
Type-O is more FF than XIII. You should play the demo!
@Ultima How is Type-0 like Persona?
Over stereotype anime school kids. The fact that you have to kill off your character to use a summon. The game just reeks of scene kids, A culture I do not care for.
The general vib does not feel like a FF game, the controls are so fussy, which is strange becuase the absolutley nailed it already with Crisis Core…
Persona IS more FF than FFXIII
Nonsense, I can't believe people say that after the massive departure of FFXII, the many creators moved over to make Lost Odyssey instead. If any FF game does not feel like a true FF title it's XII or any Ivalice related title.
@Ultimadream
What about FFT?
I'd love to hear you explain yourself. FFXII wasn't my favorite FF, but it was still excellent gameplay with sufficient depth for me to be satisfied with it being an FF.
I'm not sure how you can pretend FFXIII had more FF elements than FFXII…

Could always import it, but even for a Collector's Edition, $164 is a bit much. Heck it's $99 just for the game by itself.

why not just import it?
FFVXIII has apparently finally gone into full development so hopefully will be seeing some info soon.
