Sony's next-gen portable, officially named the PlayStation Vita, got a whole lot of attention at last night's E3 press conference.
As a result, we already know about many of the games that will be available on the nifty new unit, but the titles just keep coming: first is the announcement that both Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee and Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath will be headed to the Vita. Both games have already been confirmed for the PlayStation 3. With the two platforms, developer Just Add Water added that the two titles will support cross platform cloud saves, and will be available on the PS Vita "this holiday season." Gotta love Abe.
Furthermore, Namco Bandai has revealed a new Ridge Racer for the Vita. It's only a working title for now but players "can expect high-speed drifting at break-neck speeds in high-performance racing machines with new exciting new gameplay additions." Currently, Ridge Racer Unbounded is slated for the PS3 but this isn't the game that will come to Sony's new handheld.
There are over 80 games in development for the Vita and quite a few confirmed for the system's launch. Undoubtedly, titles like Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Wipeout 2048 will be huge, but let's not forget about new additions like LittleBigPlanet and Street Fighter X Tekken .
Man those Oddworld games were so unique and fun. Still amazed at the how those games mixed platforming with stealth, shooting, and even…some rpg elements. Very strategical stuff.
2 Oddworld games, sweet stuff! Cross platform is a big deal here. Makes things easy in a good way.
meh
Nice, the more games the better. I can't wait to get my hands on this bad boy.
My thoughts as well. =^.^=
RRRRRRRiiiiidddggggeeee RRRRRaaaacceerrrrrrr!
Sorry, it had to be done.
Came here just to say that.
Was going to do it myself if no-one else had.
isn't it kinda strange that no "GTA:SA/IV Stories" has been announced? I could have sworn that would happen…

Has Rockstar had their presser yet?
Do they have their own press conference? I thought someone around here said that they are absent on this years E3?
If they do, then there's still hope!
/me is crossing fingers and toes for gta:sa…!

Nah, there were a few articles floating about the web last month stating that R* "had no plans for E3". Too bad.
The cross platform potential of Vita has me intrigued to say the least.
Stranger's Wrath is suppose to be a really good game. Interested!! =)
Haven't played a handheld since the Sega Game Gear.
I love my PSP to bits. I even got a new battery for it this week.
This is going to be "THE" handheld. So many good games along with what seems to be a very very sweet piece of hardware. I'm extremely excited for the vita. Can't believe they are going to make a bioshock for it!!! Gonna be so sweet!!!
OMG little big planet game is going to be awesome for PSV.
Yes!!!! Munch's oddysee was my favorite xbox game.
Hello
Fallow me
Wait!
More games = good. So where's my more more? I don't care if they won't release until shortly before E3 2012, I just want to know that they're coming in a steady stream.
Peace.
I really really liked it. I'll thinking very seriously to buy one at day 1. On a side note, anyone else thinking as me? If this had a 3D display it could be easy the best gadget ever created (not that it is not without it). I'd easily paid 50 or 75 more bucks for this one with 3D.
Not unless they use the MIT tech with a wide viewing angle no glasses. Very cool tech that it. Even so, not for me. 3D gives me headaches.
very impressive,
io may actually pick up a PSV,m just for uncharted
OH F*CK YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
love oddworld, play the original all the time on my PSP!
by far one of the best games ever made!
shame so many series from the ps1 were abandoned there, there were so many classics!
shocked sony did not announce a GTA game for vita, i mean GTA has been a launch title for almost everything!
would of been sweet to have a GTA title on there, but please ditch the top down crap of Chinatown wars!
